Note that this Anime Paradox tier list is a work in progress. The game has just launched, and as I learn more about units and how they work in practice, I will most surely make changes and adjustments to the current tiers. The current tier list is based on testing over the first week. As the developers have already stated, there will be many balance changes and tweaks in the coming weeks, so expect changes to the tier list as well.
S+ Tier DPS Units - META & OP
These are by far the strongest units in Anime Paradox right now, rightfully earning the top spot in my Anime Paradox tier list. You should invest both time and resources into leveling and evolving these units, as they currently define the meta. If you manage to pull them, you’re one lucky person.
| Unit | Pros & Cons |
|---|---|
![]() Zid (Atomic) MYTHIC | Pros: • Global DPS unit, which covers the whole map with its abilities. • Insane full map AoE clear. |
![]() Storrk (Resurreccion) PARADOX | Pros: • His Number One passive turns him into a dedicated "I work alone" solo carry by giving him OP buffs when he’s out of range of other friendly units. • It’s a summoner unit, and summoners tend to be meta in Roblox tower defense games, and it’s no different in Anime Paradox. His wolves are broken. • Storrk EVO is a must, as it adds the Howl of Ruin passive, doubling the number of summoned Wolves. Cons: • The rarest unit in the game, extremely hard to obtain. |
S Tier DPS Units
Almost as strong as the S+ units, but not quite. Nevertheless, these are all excellent picks for any team comp, offering everything you’d want from a strong DPS, from great raw damage and excellent scaling to solid wave clear, boss damage, combo potential, and more.
| Unit | Pros & Cons |
|---|---|
![]() Ichuga (Vasto Lorde) SECRET | Pros: • Vizard's Surge makes him a sustainability powerhouse that will refuse to die. • Getshuga Bleed applies perma-Bleed on attacks, melting units in the process. • Insane DPS. Cons: • Lacks good AoE |
![]() Sun Jin Wu (Monarch) SECRET | Pros: • SJW's Level Up passive is the best scaling ability in the game, making him a monster unit as the game progresses. • Monarch's Will is a phenomenal self-heal passive that scales in the late game thanks to the Level Up synergy. |
![]() Igrus (Elite Knight) SECRET | Pros: • Undead Commander is quite easy on-kill stacking passive, granting up to 100% bonus damage. • Has strong synergy with SJW, as it receives buffs (damage and cooldown reduction) when both units are placed on the map. Cons: • Not as good without SJW in the team comp. |
A Tier DPS Units
Solid picks that will help you grind late-game challenges, but you won’t have it as easy as you would with S- or S+-tier units in your team comp. Still, these are great units, so don’t feel bad if you pull them from summoning, you should absolutely use them until you get something better. Some of them are also very fun to play, which counts for a lot (after all, we play to have fun, right?).
| Unit | Pros & Cons |
|---|---|
![]() Brolu (Super) MYTHIC | Pros: • A DPS machine that can stack damage infinitely. • Brolu's Legendary Rage stacks and can quickly spiral out of control if maintained. • Unstable Power's total damage buff goes to 400% bonus damage (and more), which is insane. Cons: • Doesn't bring any utility to the table. • Unstable Power's cooldown is a bit too long. • Requires a lot of setup. |
![]() Kirrua (Goodspeed) MYTHIC | Pros: • The Godspeed passive can be maintained indefinitely, giving the unit a perma +35% bonus on attack damage and +20% Cooldown Reduction. • The Electric Surge passive makes Kirrua a CC powerhouse. • Can work as a great support unit as well. Cons: • Not as good base damage. |
![]() Sky (Enhanced) EXCLUSIVE | Pros: • Limit Break takes time to go online, but it provides solid damage and CDR buffs once the meter reaches 100%. • Limit Resonance cuts Limit Break requirements by half, making it much more reliable and consistent. Cons: • Sky feels like a one-trick pony, while neither providing top-tier DPS nor any utility. |
![]() Freezo (Full Power) MYTHIC | Pros: • It gets a flat 60% damage bonus without any requirements. • Solid AoE damage. Cons: • Weak base damage and long cooldowns. |
B Tier DPS Units
Nice and mostly simple, you'll have fun playing with them, and they will carry you through most of mid and late game challenges, albeit not as easily as some stronger units.
| Unit | Pros & Cons |
|---|---|
![]() Eryu (Antithesis) MYTHIC | Pros: • The Energy Manipulation passive has nice synergy with itself (a buff based on range that improves range and base damage). • The Antithesis passive makes Eryu a boss-destroying machine. Cons: • Long cooldown on Energy Manipulation. • Not as useful in non-boss fights. • Weak DPS in general. |
![]() Itochi (Eternal Flame) MYTHIC | Pros: • Tsukuyomi's Omen is basically permanent. • The Crow Escape passive can come in insanely clutch in tight situations and often prevents Itochi’s demise. Cons: • Itochi lacks any good wave-clearing. |
![]() Melio (Wrath) MYTHIC | Pros: • Cursed Flame is probably the best DoT skill in Anime Paradox right now. • The Demon Wrath is a nice "one final hurrah" passive. Cons: • The Demon Wrath is too situational. |
![]() Seth (One-Winged) EXCLUSIVE | Pros: • A berserker-type unit that gains massive buffs when its health drops below 40%. • Memory of the Ancients is a nice "free" skill. Cons: • Too situational • One-Winged Angel is limited to once per wave. |
D Tier DPS Units
| Unit | Pros & Cons |
|---|---|
![]() Megomun (Explosion) EXCLUSIVE | Pros: • Explosion Arcana is one of the best AoE spells in Anime Paradox, capable of clearing most regular mobs. • Phenomenal early-game wave-clearing for starter team comps. • Solid Burn DoT damage. Cons: • Volatile Mana is a risky glass-cannon passive; I'm not sure about its value because it comes right after she casts Explosion Arcana. • Low base damage. |
![]() Ciel (SUPER) MYTHIC | Pros: • Solid overall passives that make him a reliable unit (Perfect Evolution stacks are relatively easy to get quickly and get Perfect Form online). Cons: • Kinda boring abilities, not suitable for late-game challenges. |
![]() Chae-In (Light) MYTHIC | Pros: • Her Speed of Light gives nice, reliable damage and CDR bonuses. Cons: • The weakest mythic unit in the game. |

Best Support Units in Anime Paradox
In my opinion, support units have a much stronger role in Anime Paradox compared to other popular Roblox tower defense games, due to how the game works. You don’t have a traditional lane in Anime Paradox, with minions spawning at point A and walking toward point B down a single path. Instead, your base (which you defend) is located at the center of the map, and minions spawn in a circle around it. With that in mind, here’s my Anime Paradox support units tier list.
S+ Tier Support & Farm Units - META & OP
The absolute powerhouse when it comes to support units in Anime Paradox. You need to have at least two of these in your current team comps if you want to beat the hardest challenges in the game. Bulla is the best farming unit in the game, so she’s a must, but you should also add either Orehime or Idol to your comp as a go-to support unit. It’s up to you which unit best fits your playstyle.
| UNIT | Pros & Cons |
|---|---|
![]() Idol (Pop) MYTHIC | Pros: • The Hype Overdrive passive is by far the best support ability in the game, both in terms of sustainability and damage. Cons: • Encore on the EVO (Pop) version of the unit basically makes Hype Overdrive a permanent buff. |
![]() Oreheme (Sacred) MYTHIC | Pros: • Oreheme is the best pure healing (defensive) support in Anime Paradox. • The Shun Shun Rikka passive is currently the best self-sustaining passive in the game, providing both healing and protection to Oreheme. • Sacred Support provides reliable team healing and ensures nothing goes to waste, as any overheal is converted into a hefty 30% damage buff for the overhealed unit. |
![]() Bulla LEGENDARY | Pros: • The best farming unit in the game. |
S Tier Support & Farm Units
These are perfectly fine in any team comp, and they offer some really strong utility that can be extremely useful in certain niche situations. That said, they don’t really stand a chance against the aforementioned S+ tier support units. It’s not a mistake to include them in your team comps, but there are currently clearly better choices.
| Unit | Pros & Cons |
|---|---|
![]() Shadow Vampire EXCLUSIVE | Pros: • His active Time Stop ability is absolutely phenomenal. It is a global AoE CC effect that completely freezes all enemy units for a period of time. Cons: • While it is an S++ tier unit when it comes to utility, it doesn’t bring much else to the table in the DPS and buff/healing departments. |
![]() Ulquiarro (Murcielago) MYTHIC | Pros: • Echoes of Emptiness is a phenomenal CC spell, applying Fear to all enemies on every 8th takedown. • Ulquiarro is the best slowing unit in the game, as Echoes of Emptiness's 40% slow can save your core in clutch situations. • High-Speed Regeneration is a much-needed self-healing ability on a support unit. Cons: • Low base damage. |
![]() Sprintcart EPIC | Pros: • You know the drill already - if there’s an Anime Roblox tower defense game, there will be a version of Speedwagon as the go-to farm unit. You cannot play without a farm unit in any team comp. Cons: • Unfortunately for our friend here, Bulla is a better farm unit, and you can not play two of them. |
A Tier Support Units
Although they are the last tier in my Anime Paradox support tier list, they aren’t really bad per se. In fact, I’d argue that there are currently no truly bad units in Anime Paradox. If you want to play with them, that’s fine - go for it. However, they are simply outclassed by much stronger support units, and unless some nerfs (or buffs) come in the next patch, they will remain useless for higher-end endgame challenges.
| Unit | Pros & Cons |
|---|---|
![]() Steel (Shadow) MYTHIC | Pros: • The Protector is a very strong proactive support ability, as completely neutralizing two enemy hits on all allies every 20 seconds is nothing to scoff at. • Guardian Sight is a great tech passive for when you want to play risky builds with squishy frontliners that can dish out a lot of damage but are often at risk of dying. Cons: • It simply doesn’t fit into the current meta, but it is definitely not a bad unit. Feel free to experiment with him. |
![]() Asto (Devil) MYTHIC | Pros: • Anti-Magic Flow is the only anti-shield ability in the game, making it quite useful in specific situations. • Null Slash is the best debuffing ability in Anime Paradox. Cons: • Way too situational and reactive. It doesn’t provide any immediate support. • Good only as a niche tech unit to counter specific mobs. |

How to Check What a Unit Does in Anime Paradox
One of the most annoying things about many Roblox anime tower defense games is the fact that you cannot easily see a unit’s passive and active abilities, even for units you already have in your Index. The same is true in Anime Paradox. To check what a unit does, you first need to play a match with it and then view its passives by clicking the Unit Details button.
If, like me, you find this process tiresome and just want to make informed decisions when setting up a team comp, you should check out my complete Anime Paradox passives list, where you can see all passive abilities for Mythic, Secret, and Exclusive units.
