Anime Royale has many anime-inspired heroes ready to fight for you, but not all can be classified as top units, so we've created a character tier list to help you select the best. Here's the Anime Royale tier list with all units ranked.
Anime Royale Characters Tier List
You need luck and 50 Gems per gacha pull to summon the best units in Anime Royale. Redeem Anime Royale codes to get Gems and Rerolls to create a decent team. The chances for the strongest units are minuscule (2% for Legendary, 0.25% for Mythical), but there is a pity system.
Legendary pity is just 50 pulls, while you'll need more time to reach Mythical as it's activated on the 400th pull. As you can't rely on luck, strategically roll to reach pity and wait for a banner with the meta units you need. For this strategy, learn more about the best units in Anime Royale.

Best Ranked Units in Anime Royale
Not all characters are worth spending Gems on, so picking the best ones is your top priority. Having a team filled with OP units is the best scenario, but you'll more often use Legendary and Epic units (at least at the beginning).
Play to character strengths, as some are great support units but lack good attack as some DPS characters. Of course, unit evolutions change things a lot, so keep units that can be upgraded even if you're unsatisfied with their original form. That's where our Anime Royale tier list helps.
Tier S Units
- Freeze (Final) has a great range that is somewhat negated by his slow attacks. He makes that up with his powerful attacks, so you'll most likely clean a bunch of enemies with one blow.
- Friend is a fantastic DPS unit with a great range. On top of that, she can attack both air and ground, making her one of the most reliable characters in the game.
- Stabs is as strong as any unit in Anime Royale, but his stun ability makes him extra useful, significantly slowing enemies.
- Ulquioro (Second) is another great choice if you're looking for a high-damage unit with a great range.
- Keneki is your go-to guy for demolishing shielded units. Combined with great damage potential and speedy attacks, Keneki (and his evo version) will quickly become your favorite character.
Tier A Units
- Freeze is perfect in a supporting role, so use him often if you need an affordable unit to help your mains.
- Itchy is a surprisingly powerful Legendary hill unit that deals solid damage. His burn damage makes him so efficient he can decimate entire waves.
- Jotero is so efficient as a support unit (slow, stun, knockback) that I don't really care about his damage output (which is decent!).
- Lawlight is the best money unit in the game, making it essential for game modes like Infinite, where you need to upgrade units fast and move them a lot.
- Manara is an excellent hybrid unit that can deal great AoE damage to enemies.
- Microw offers great damage, making him efficient enough to justify his high placement cost.
Tier B Units
- Aligator is a great support unit with AoE slow ability. That said, he'll make your life miserable because of how slow he is.
- Kokoin is an Epic hill unit that you'll be very happy with until you get Itchy.
- Nemo is a Rare money unit you'll use until you get Lawlight. Of course, you can always combine them if you need a lot of resources, especially in Raids.
- Zonitsu has an effective stun but is average at best in everything else.
Tier C Units
- Netsu is a servicable Legendary unit with burn damage you'll fire as soon as you find a better unit.
- Noroto is a Rare unit you'll love at the start because he gets the job done. Unfortunately, you realize even faster that his damage output is laughable compared to higher-tiered units.
- Tojiro is a synonim for trash. If you look at the dictionary, under the word "useless," you'll find his name.
