To help you make informed decisions, I've compiled an Attack on Titan Revolution Family Tier List, updated for Update 4 (April 2026)—a comprehensive ranking of all 31 Families that will guide your character-build strategy.

Best Families in Attack on Titan Revolution

Below, I have listed all the Families in Attack on Titan Revolution and why they belong to a particular tier.

S+ Tier

• Fritz: Fritz is a Mythical Family and is widely considered the best titan-shifting family in Attack on Titan Revolution. It provides +20% Shifter Stats, +15% Critical Chance and Damage, +10% Damage in Raids, +10% ODM/TS Damage, +10% Gold/XP Gain for your entire party, and +10% Cooldown Reduction. Fritz also unlocks every family-exclusive titan shifting skill in the game, and its Founder's Vengeance passive revives you on death with I-Frames and a free extra shift. If you want to dominate as a Titan Shifter, Fritz is the ultimate pick.
• Helos: Helos is the other Mythical Family and the best option for ODM/non-shifter builds. It grants +30% ODM/TS Damage, +20% Critical Chance and Damage, +20% Damage in Raids, +15% to all ODM stats, +10% Cooldown Reduction, an extra Boost Dash, and additional Offense and Support Perk Slots. Its Undying Hero passive stacks damage, crit, and damage reduction per kill, eventually triggering golden aura explosions on every hit. Helos cannot shift into a titan, but it doesn't need to — a skilled Helos player can solo Aberrant raids in minutes.
• Shiki: Shiki is a Secret Mythical Family that you can only unlock by completing 64 achievements — you cannot spin for it. It offers +20% Damage, +20% Damage in Raids, +15% Critical Chance and Damage, +10% ODM and Shifter Stats, +2 Boost Dashes, a 7.5% Luck Boost, and a Core Perk Slot. Shiki plays similarly to Ackerman with a Rage meter mechanic, but with extra stat coverage and the ability to shift. Due to power creep from Fritz and Helos, Shiki is considered the weakest Mythical, but it's still far stronger than any Legendary family.

S Tier

• Ackerman: Ackerman is the best Legendary Family in Attack on Titan Revolution and a top pick for ODM blade users. It provides +20% Damage, +15% Critical Chance and Damage, +10% ODM Gas/Range/Control, a Double Jump, an extra Boost Dash, and an Offense Perk Slot. Ackerman cannot shift into a titan, but compensates with three powerful family skills: Rage Mode fills a bar through dealing damage that grants +20% to all stats, Let it RIP is a devastating spinning blade attack, and Swift Strikes chain-kills nearby titans. I highly recommend spinning for Ackerman if you aim for the game's leaderboards.
• Yeager: Yeager is the best aggressive titan-shifting Legendary Family in AOT Revolution. It provides +20% Attack Titan Stats, +15% Critical Chance, a 10% Titan Shifting Cooldown Reduction, and an extra Defense Perk Slot. Its family skills include Boosted Regen (full heal + injury clear + 50% gas restore), Berserk (constant health regen + 25% damage boost while shifted), and Shifter Regen. While it falls short compared to the non-shifting power of Ackerman, Yeager is unmatched for players who love diving in and out of Attack Titan form. 
• Reiss: The Reiss is another top-tier family in the game that provides dozens of buffs like +10% Titan Stats, +5% bonus XP and Gold for party members, -10% upgrade costs, and an extra Support Perk Slot. Its family skills include Conquer (stun nearby pure titans), Command (control up to 10 pure titans), and Arise (shift regardless of your shifting bar). It is the best Family if you want to earn many gold coins to upgrade your skills quickly. 

A Tier

• Zoe: Zoe is one of the best Epic-tier Families in AOT Revolution and the top pick for non-shifting ODM users on a budget. It provides +10% ODM Gear Control, +10% ODM Gear Speed, and -5% Upgrade Costs. The main reason it ranks this high is the Last Stand ability — once per match, when you take lethal damage, you regenerate 30% of your HP, gain a 20% damage boost, and receive up to 60% damage resistance for 30 seconds. It's a game-changing survival tool if used during the right moment.
• Braun: Braun is the best tank family in the Epic tier. It provides +10% Armoured Titan Stats, +10% Maximum Health, -10% Damage Taken as a Titan, and a Shifter Regen skill. If you enjoy absorbing hits and staying alive in titan form, Braun is your pick.
• Finger: The Finger Family is built for Cart Titan shifters, providing +10% Cart Titan Stats, +10% Shifting Duration, and +10% ODM Gas. It lets you stay in titan form longer and maneuver efficiently — a solid utility pick for players who enjoy the Cart Titan playstyle.
• Leonhart: Leonhart is a strong Epic family that offers +10% Female Titan Stats, +10% Titan Run Speed, +10% Damage, and a Shifter Regen skill. It also has an exclusive Crimson Bloom shifting skill for the Female Titan. The combination of flat damage boost, speed, and healing makes Leonhart surprisingly versatile for its rarity.
• Tybur: Tybur is an excellent grind-focused family with +10% Warhammer Titan Stats, +10% Shifting Duration, +10% Gold Gain, and Shifter Regen. The extended shift duration paired with gold earnings makes Tybur ideal for players who want to farm efficiently while still being effective in combat.
• Ksaver: Ksaver is a solid balanced Epic family that provides +10% Beast Titan Stats, +10% Damage, and +10% ODM Range. The ODM Range boost is useful for repositioning, and the flat damage buff keeps your human form competitive. Equip Ksaver when facing Beast Titan-related quests for extra effectiveness.
• Galliard: Galliard provides +10% Jaw Titan Stats, +10% Titan Attack Speed, +10% Critical Damage, and a Shifter Regen skill. Galliard can shift into a titan, making it a strong aggressive option for brawler builds focused on the Jaw Titan's fast attack style.
• Arlert: Arlert is the go-to family for Colossal Titan users, providing +10% Colossal Titan Stats, +20% Nuke AOE expansion, and +10% Critical Chance. If you love massive area-of-effect damage and want your Colossal Titan transformations to clear entire groups, Arlert is a fantastic pick. 

B Tier

• Azumabito: The Azumabito is a decent Rare family that buffs your Damage and ODM Control stats by +5% each. However, it simultaneously decreases your Titan stats by 5%. If you're ready to bear the loss of Titan abilities, Azumabito is a reasonable early-game pick due to its higher spawn rate.
• Braus: The main highlight of the Braus family is the Potato ability, which restores your HP by 30% after consuming a Potato. It also provides a +5% Maximum Health buff. While helpful for survivability, the lack of offensive perks limits Braus compared to higher-tier options.
• Smith: Smith is a support-oriented Rare family that provides +2.5% Gold and XP gain for all party members. It's not as impactful as Reiss, but it is still a good choice for beginner players due to its high spawn rate and the value of extra earnings during early progression.

C Tier

• Kruger: Kruger is a Rare family that provides +5% Attack Titan Stats, but this comes at the cost of -5% Critical Chance. The tradeoff is rarely worth it when Epic and Legendary families offer much larger buffs without the penalty. 
• Springer: Springer provides +5% Maximum Health and +5% Critical Damage, but at the cost of -5% Critical Chance. The offset makes damage output inconsistent, placing it firmly in the lower tiers.
• Grice: Grice offers +5% Jaw Titan Stats for early shifter builds, but the -5% ODM Gas penalty makes moving around as a human noticeably more frustrating. It's too niche to recommend over higher-tier alternatives.
• Kirstein: Kirstein provides +10% Horse Speed, enabling quicker repositioning on horseback. However, this buff comes with a -5% ODM Speed penalty, which hurts your aerial mobility — the most important movement system in the game. This trade-off is not great.

D Tier

All the following families in Attack on Titan Revolution are Common rarity and do not provide any buffs or perks to the users. They only add a family name to your character. Avoid them and try to roll for something from the above tiers.
