Hide the Body is a twist on Hide and Seek where players have to kill strangers and hide their bodies from a friend who's coming over to hang out, but you'll want to know the best hiding spots to not get caught. You can keep hiding more and more bodies in your house until your friend finds one and finishes the game. The more bodies you hide, the more coins you'll earn which you can use to buy different items and unlock new maps.
This is a work in progress, more hiding spots that work on different difficulty levels will be added to this guide as soon as possible, so make sure to check back in!
Best Hiding Spots in House 1995 Map
House 1995 is the only free map in the game, apart from the Tutorial map. It has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a massive hall where players can hide plenty of bodies. Let's start with the kitchen.
Kitchen

You can easily hide up to 6 bodies in the kitchen area.
- The massive storage box on the right of the refrigerator can hold two bodies. Close the lid and the bodies can't be found.
- Open the refrigerator and place two more bodies in there. Again, make sure to close the door.
- Lastly, over the sink, there are two hanging cupboards where you can hide more bodies.
The best part about the kitchen is that all the spots have doors that you can close and make it really hard for the friend to find those bodies.
Hall / Living Room / Garage

There aren't too many hiding spots in the hall. However, you can easily create a few by moving stuff around.
- Just as you enter the house, there's a closet on the right. Hide a body in there and remember to close the doors.
- There is another closet in the garage that you can use to hide one body.
- From the main door, when you turn left, you can see a massive shelf. Place the body inside the shelf and rotate it towards the wall to hide it.
- You can also hide the body behind the green couch. Place the body on its side and push the couch back as much as you can so the body doesn't peak from behind the couch.
Bedrooms

You can hide the body in the following places in the bigger room to the left of the stairs :
- Place the body flat on the floor and then cover it by picking up and placing the bed over the body.
- Place bodies inside the two closets next to the bed.
- To the left side of the bed, there is a shelf. Move it slightly forward to create a space and hide the body. The space will be covered by the wall from one side and the window from the other.
In the small bedroom, you can also hide the body under the bed or behind the shelf. The bathroom does not have any good hiding spots because the body doesn't fit in the cupboards or the bath tub.
Best Hiding Spots in Yard Map
The Yard is a small map with only three areas - a bedroom, a living room, and the yard outside. That's why hiding a body on this map is tricky stuff.
Bedroom

The bedroom is tiny and the only place to hide a body in there is under the bed. If the body is peaking from any side, use the chest of drawers to cover it up completely.
Hall / Living Room

The tiny hall hash no closets or cupboards that you can use to hide bodies. Instead, you'll have to create castles and fake walls.
- Use the couch and the chest of drawers to create space behind the couch and hide bodies. Cover the open side with the chest of drawers and use the TV to cover the top. The Friend NPC will never find those bodies.
- Similarly, use the big shelf to create a fake room to hide more bodies. Cover the shorter side of the shelf with the TV stand or the boxes found in the yard to make the area inaccessible.
The Yard

The Yard is the biggest area of the map and has the best hiding spots of all. You can hide bodies in the following spots:
- There are two dumpsters in the yard area. Place them right and you can easily hide 2 bodies in one dumpster. Slightly move both the dumpsters away from the wall to create more space and hide bodies behind the dumpsters as well. You can use the various boxes or the lemon stand to cover the sides.
- Hide bodies in the three bushes.
- Throw bodies on top of the trees. In easy difficulty, you can throw bodies on the trees and the Friend NPC won't find it. However, in high difficulty levels, you'll have to work a little harder and make sure you throw the body on higher branches where it isn't clearly visible.
You can't throw bodies on the roof. Sadly, we tried that already and it doesn't work.
Best Hiding Spots in Whispering Cemetery

The Whispering Cemetery is a tough map because it has very few good hiding spots, despite being a cemetery. There is just one graveyard area and below are the best spots to hide a body in this map:
- There are multiple bushes around the cemetery, similar to the ones you see in the Yard Map but bigger in size. If you place them right, they can hide two bodies easily.
- You can hide bodies inside the graves covered with wooden planks. These graves work similarly to the bushes. However, some of these are not deep enough. For those, you will have to cover up the body using wooden planks or coffins or stone structures scattered across the cemetery.
- There are many stone graves in the cemetery that you can open, hide a body in, and close again by placing the lid on the top.
- The cemetery is full of trees standing tall in and around the boundary wall. You can climb on top of the walls and through the bodies on to the trees. Some trees have shallow branches so you might have to climb a little more to really make it hard for the Friend NPC to find the body.
Best Hiding Spots in Big Attic

Much like the Whispering Cemetery map, the Big Attic is also a single, big area. But, it does have better hiding spots and plenty of room for you to create big hiding spots and hide piles of bodies.
- Near the spawn point, you can create two hiding spots that can hide multiple bodies, simply by moving around some furniture. On the right side of the spawn point, there is a big shelf with plenty of space behind it. Pile bodies there and hide them using the shelf and a drawer. Similarly, on the opposite side is an orange couch. You can hide the bodies behind the couch and use the cushions to create a castle-like structure and hide the bodies underneath.
- There are plenty of closets all around the attic with doors that you can close to completely hide the bodies. You can also use those closets to create a fake room in front of one of the windows and hide multiple bodies behind it. However, make sure those closets don't move easily because the Friend NPC does walk into furniture at higher difficulties.
- If you've run out of spots, you can also put bodies on the wooden beams. Move any table of drawer to the centre of the room, jump on it, and throw the body on to the beam. You will have to be really precise, though, or the body could fall down. It isn't exactly hiding, but it works.
Best Hiding Spots in Bright Moon
Bright Moon is the biggest map in Hide the Body with three buildings (two small and one big) and a big yard area that is continuously raided by strangers, friends, and UFOs. All the buildings are similar to each other, in that, they all have similar hiding spots. Only the biggest building has a storage room in the east wing where you can hide multiple bodies. Moreover, you can create fake rooms and structures to hide more bodies using solar panels and storage boxes.
Buildings
In the two smaller buildings, there are a few pre-built hiding spots and enough furniture for you to create your own spots as well. You can easily hide bodies in the closets and storage boxes in the last rooms of both the smaller buildings.
You can also hide bodies under the massive tables and cover up any opening with the drawers or shelves. Rotate the shelves a little and move them away from the walls to create body hiding space behind.
The storage room is where you can hide multiple bodies. There are six racks in the storage room with green foam on them. The foam hides the body just like the bushes in the Yard and Cemetery map. Just make sure you place them right and no limb is peaking out of the foam.
Outdoor Area

There are different nooks and corners that you can use to place a body. However, you must cover it up with the various solar panels and wooden items to make sure your friend doesn't discover them.
Even in this new map, you still can't throw a body on the roof. You can place it on the edge but it takes too long to do it.
