Just days after BIG Games found itself in hot water for introducing a paid channel to its Discord server, the company is under fire yet again—this time, for a $350 plushie. The Titanic Balloon Cat Plush comes in two colors, red and blue, and is currently listed on the digital BIG Games shop as "coming soon." Since this plush's discovery in early February, fans across the internet have voiced their opinion on its "exorbitant" price, leading to it being lowered by $100—now being sold for $250.
Despite BIG Games' CEO and Pet Simulator X creator Preston denying that the price was changed due to fan outcry, and instead stating that the $350 price tag was never meant to be final, fans have taken to Twitter to rally together in their unified distaste toward the company's "money hungry behavior." In reply to a tweet from popular news account Roblox_RTC that announced the plush, multiple Roblox YouTubers and developers came out to express their concerns and thoughts as well, stating the following:

While many outside the Roblox space assume the community is made up of children who aren't knowledgeable or aware of the world around them, and the realities that come with it, this is proven to be far from true again and again, especially when situations like this one come to surface. As experiences like Pet Simulator X, that profit on taking advantage of young audiences, continue to boom across the Roblox platform, these young community members, oftentimes minors, are forced to advocate for themselves and others like them, making statements similar to the following:
"You could probably use that money for: Paying a bill/bills, buying a decent device/console, a really nice gift for a friend or family member, a really nice dinner, a few nights at a hotel, charity...or a roblox plush."
At the time of this article's publication, it's unknown if the price of the Titanic Balloon Cat Plush will continue to decrease, or when it will go on sale, but, considering the continued negative reactions coming from fans, and prominent creators and influencers, it could change again in the coming days or weeks.
