Blox Fruits Update 24 comes with Dojo Expansion and Dragon Fruit Rework, But Can It Match the Rell Seas Hype

Blox Fruit Update 24 is dropping soon!

It's that time of the year, and I am not talking about the Christmas Holidays but the much-awaited release of the annual Blox Fruits update, i.e., update 24, which brings a whole lot of changes to the base game, including a new Dojo DLC Expansion, an overhaul of the Dragon Fruit and guns. While everything sounds interesting, will this update be enough to tackle and keep the players engaged with rumors of the Rell Seas release earlier next year in 2025?

Blox Fruits Dojo Expansion and Dragon Fruit Changes

As mentioned earlier, the main highlight of the Blox Fruits update 24 is the Dojo expansion or, to be more apparent, the Dragon Talon Dojo Expansion. In this update, the players will get access to the new Dojo arena, where they can learn the new Dragon Talon Fighting style by interacting with a master, who will request you to take upon new challenges that will range from exploring the new parts of the islands to defeating dangerous bosses. Along with that, the Dojo expansion will also feature two new cool weapons - Dragon Heart & Dragon Storm.

The Dragon Heart is a cool-looking weapon that looks like a magical spear with fiery fire weapons. At first glance, it feels like a Spikey Trident, except that it does not have three pokey dots on top. So, if you like such weapons with a long attack range, you will love the Dragon Heart.

Speaking of the Dragon Storm, it is an auto-attack gun that feels like the colossal weapon wielded by the Heavy from Team Fortress 2. It looks simple and looks like it can be used in a lot of combos during the fight.

The other big highlight is the Dragon Rework. The fruit has become sort of meme material in the past few years due to its enormous size, which caused a lot of glitching/clipping issues and made most of the PVP fights very problematic. So, the new rework on the Dragon fruit will fix these issues and balance the fruit in a much better way for combats. If you see the trailer, the developers have added two new variants of the Dragon - Western and Eastern versions. Both of these look entirely different from one another in terms of design but have the same abilities.

Weapon Changes and Gifting System

Several weapons are also receiving a lot of reworks. This includes the Musket, Slingshot, Magma Blaster, Asum Rifle, and more. Some of these are complete animation rework, while others have been buffed to be more viable in battle.

Among other general updates, the gifting system is the most prominent feature that will catch everyone's attention as it's something that the community has demanded for a long time. So, when the update goes live, players can gift each other permanent devil fruits to their friends, which works similarly to the pet gifting system in PS99.

There were also several sneak peeks about the potion/brewery system, submarines, and the new POIs. You can check out the complete trailer below.

Rell Seas vs Blox Fruits Update 24 Showdown

Blox Fruits has been the king of One Piece-based games on Roblox for a long time. There have been very few games like GPO and King Legacy that have given tough competition but have yet to reach the numbers or status attained by Blox Fruits. But Rell Seas can change that notion as they have been garnering a lot of hype and buzz even before its release, mainly because of the Rell Brothers, who were the developers behind the hugely successful Shindo Life series. With Rell Seas slated for a release early next year, it will be fascinating to watch the tussle between Blox Fruits and Rell Seas, as this should be the only update from Blox Fruits for the next 12 months. Yes, this bad habit of updating every 12 months may backfire if there is significant competition looming in the form of Rell Seas, who look extremely promising from their initial sneak peeks.

Still, from my experience, I think the update 24 Gamer Robot is pushing should be enough to maintain Blox Fruits status as the best Roblox game for at least the next 3 to 4 months. However, if Rell Seas puts out high-quality content one after the other to bring in more players, they can dethrone Blox Fruits, but it depends a lot upon how the game is perceived during its initial release.

What is the release date for Blox Fruits Update 24?
