To start the Sprout Studies Event, you need to travel to Central Island, which unlocks once you reach Rebirth 1 and pay 1,000,000 Cash. When you arrive, you will notice that the Gym from the previous update has been replaced by a purple laboratory.

This lab is the core of the event. Interacting with the machine outside the lab lets you submit plant seeds and begin the Sprout Studies process. The event is available to all once unlocked and runs automatically without additional setup or prerequisites.

The Sprout Studies Event is all about mutating plant seeds. When you submit a seed to the machine, you immediately earn milestone progress and rewards. The seed is not consumed permanently. Instead, it goes through a mutation process and returns to your inventory after a short waiting period.

Once submitted, the seed moves to a secondary machine behind the scientist inside the lab. The mutation timer depends on the seed type, with a maximum wait time of five minutes. After the timer ends, the mutated version of that plant is added directly to your inventory. Here are all the mutation drop rates:

MutationDrop Rate
Abomination85%
Corrupted5%
AmpedUp4%
Diamond3%
Frozen2%
Neon1%

Each mutated plant rolls one of six mutation types, each with a different drop rate. Abomination mutations are the most common, while Neon and Frozen mutations are extremely rare but highly valuable. You can reward stack across milestones by repeatedly submitting seeds, which is the best way to progress efficiently.
