On the path to reach Demo1 version of the game, we have received a Critical Fantasy PT3 Update. Here's everything that you can find in the newest Critical Fantasy update, including crafting, new status effects and much more!
Critical Fantasy Crafting Update
You are now able to craft items in Critical Fantasy by visiting the Blacksmith in Initus Bay. Once you spawn in, just head to the forges next to the statue. There isn't an NPC for you to interact with, but you can just approach the fire and make items for yourself. Here's some of what you can craft:
- Atlantis Armor
- Alderite Axe
- Sylvan Whisper
- Queen Bee's Crown
- Lantern, and more
New Status Effects and Character Stats
So far, there haven't been negative effects in the game, but now with PT3 not everything is sunshine and rainbows (and swords and spells). You'll experience new negative Status Effects like:
- Burning
- Poison
- Bleeding
On the other hand, you'll see addition of new Character Stats as well. You'll now be able to have attributes like Intensity, Warding, and Luck
Progression - Badges, Perk Tree and Abyss Challenges
If you want your game to stay alive, then you have to make sure your players feel like their progressing through the game. You do that by adding new content as well as new challenges.
There's nothing I love more than getting achievements, trophies and badges in games. Critical Fantasy PT3 has added some achievements, but hopefully they'll add more with future updates.
When it comes to Perk Trees, you'll now get to use talent points to unlock Perk Trees for attributes. There are a total of six perks on a Perk Tree, but the sixth one is currently still locked, so you can only grind out the five at the moment.
Of course, if you're looking to challenge yourself and get free rewards (with a chance to get rare weapons) while doing it, you can complete one of the four available stages of the Abyss Challenge. More stages will be added in the future!
QOL Updates
For starters (especially if you're quite literally just starting out), you'll find the Tutorial Book UI in the top right corner of your screen. You can access it at any point, so if you get confused on some of the mechanics, just click the icon or press T on your keyboard.
Another extremely useful thing that has been added in the Critical Fantasy PT3 update is the ability to change your own keybinds. This means that if you're used to a specific button setup in combat or when playing games, you can adjust it that way in this game too. You can do this on both PC and Xbox.
Additionally, you can now choose your own Class at the beginning of the game (when starting a new save slot). There are only three options at the moment, so it shouldn't be too difficult to choose based on your playstyle.
The best addition, in my opinion, is the Party System. You can adjust this through the Combat Mode menu in the top right corner. You can also decide if you want to leave Party invites on or turn them off to avoid randoms adding you.
