Cursed Seas or Cursed Update? The Future of Fisch Second Sea is Uncertain

What's going to happen to Fisch Second Sea?

Events on top of events on top of limited fish and rods have left the players struggling to catch up. The Second Sea new world was supposed to be a fresh start for Fisch, allowing for a more casual gameplay compared to the stacked First Sea.

However, the promised land of casual and not P2W gameplay has not lived up to its expectations. The first issue everyone had with it was the 250 level requirement. Essentially, to avoid having to grind in the First Sea, you still have to grind in the First Sea.

If you were one of the lucky players who had the required level, you could go into the Second Sea world and see a whole lot of nothing. Yes there were plenty of new fish and a handful of new rods, but not much else.

The Rods themselves were an issue. The First Sea Rods were nerfed and yet somehow a few of them were still better than a lot of the new ones. On top of that, since you are essentially starting over with new currency (you couldn't sell your First Sea fish to the Second Sea merchants), you really needed to grind to get anything.

This and more combined into a big disappointed mess. The developers are now asking the question: Should they remove the Second Sea? They have posted a few polls on the official Fisch Discord to figure out what to do with the world.

The answer to the first poll whether they should remove Second Sea was an overwhelming yes. However, this hasn't sealed the fate of the Cursed Seas just yet.

Instead they added another poll asking if they should lower the requirement to enter Second Sea. The results of this one were more tied. The saga continued with one final poll checking if the players would rather have the Second Sea removed or reworked. While again closer in percentage, more players voted to remove it.

There hasn't been official confirmation of what's going to happen with the Cursed Seas, but one thing is clear. The fans are not happy and would rather have it gone. Whether this will actually happen remains in the hands of the developers. But considering how Fisch saw a massive decrease in player count, it might be in their best interest to do what the community is asking for.
