There are plenty of races which are able to be acquired in Fairy Tail RE, but not every race is created equally, which is where our tier list comes in. While all of them offer at least some bonuses and are perfectly usable in all situations, some offer much more significant ones, with others being downright overpowered.

The rarer and better Races should give you a distinctive edge in Fairy Tail RE. With that in mind, our Fairy Tail RE Race tier list to help you understand which one to go for!
As we mentioned before, you can get by with many of the races, but why settle for less when you can grab the best three: God Slayer, Dragon Slayer, and Devil Slayer. However, they are also the hardest to obtain as the chance to get these Myhical Races is only 0.5%. The others will provide you with significant boosts when it comes to Mana, Speed and Vitality, but these three also have additional Passive and Active skills which make should make them your go-to, that is if you have enough Rerolls and luck on your side.
This does not mean that other races are unusable, far from it. Some builds even profit from the lesser races like the Weretiger, which when combined with certain clans that offer speed like Acnologia, can make for some pretty interesting mobility builds.
S Tier - the Best Races in Fairy Tail RE
| Race and Rarity | Details |
|---|---|
![]() Mythical (0.5%) | +20 Mana +10 Vitality Passive: God Slayer God Slayer deals 50% more magic Damage. Status effects of their magic will not affect them. They will also take a reduced amount of damage as well as regen Mana when hit by their magic (25% more than Dragon and Devil Slayer). God Slayer can apply status effects to all other races, despite their Skills. Being able to apply Status Effects to all races without any issues or defense is the main reason why God Slayer is the best out of all other Slayers (and Races). The extra Mana regen and damage reduction is a bonus too. If you roll this one, keep it, as its the meta pick, suitable for players of all skill levels. |
![]() Mythical (0.5%) | +10 Mana +20 Vitality Passive: Dragon Slayer Dragon Slayers deal 50% more Damage with magic. They also take less damage and regenerate Mana when hit by whatever their current magic is. Status effects of their magic will not affect them (unless it’s from a God Slayer). The 50% more Damage with magic is the highlight here, and your builds should be focused around exploiting this, as the modifier is significant and scales really well. Works fine with players of any skill level. |
![]() Mythical (0.5%) | +10 Mana +10 Vitality Active Skill: Demonization Mode By using Demonization Mode, you will gain Speed, Strength, as well as regenerate Health and Mana upon being hit. The mode lasts longer the higher your combat ELO is, and stat bonuses also increase with duration, up to a maximum of +10 Strength, +20 Mana and +20 Speed. Status effects of their magic will not affect them (unless it’s from a God Slayer). The most skill based Race in the game, suitable for seasoned players who know what they are doing and can survive for long periods of time. If care is taken and the Demonization mode is leveled up with maximum bonuses achieved, it arguably becomes even better than God Slayer. However, it can be off-putting for new players, as the base stats are not as good as the base stats of other Slayers. |
A Tier - an Excellent Race
| Race and Rarity | Details |
|---|---|
![]() Legendary (1.5%) | +20 Speed +10 Vitality Visual Change: adds horns Equipped with a simple kit, the Demon race allows players to give chase to their opponents, while still having the Vitality to not get shredded instantly if they actually decide to fight. The lack of any other ability however, be it active or passive, does leave something to be desired, as it is still a race of Legendary rarity and thus much more difficult to come by. At any rate, it works well as a stopgap race while saving up the Race Rolls to get the Slayer races. All players should be able to handily benefit from this one, while also intimidating their opponents with the horns that the race adds! |
B Tier - Good Races
| Race and Rarity | Details |
|---|---|
![]() Rare (18%) | +20 Speed Visual Change: adds cat ears A good early race, the Weretiger should provide you with enough mobility to pick and choose your engagements on the field of battle. Players of all skill levels should be able to make use out of the increase in speed, but also the increase of perfect dodge frames. However, you will need to manage it properly as Speed is the only advantage you can fall back on in case you find yourself in a pinch. You will find yourself at a significant disadvantage if you come up against races from the S and A tiers, so make sure to try rolling for them as soon as you are able to. |
![]() Rare (18%) | +10 Vitality Visual Change: turns skin green Another decent early race, the Lizardman should allow you to stay alive longer on the battlefield with an increase of HP. This fact greatly helps newbie players as they will have a chance to get a grip on the game without being vaporized instantly. Its not like veteran players can't get use out of this one as well, but they would be hard pressed to pick up this race over the Weretiger, as the ability to disengage goes a longer way than a little bit of extra survivability which the Lizardman provides. At any rate, your green skin will be a clear signal to your opponents that you are not as squishy as they would like to believe. |
C Tier - a Workable Starting Race
| Race and Rarity | Details |
|---|---|
![]() Common (80%) | +10 Mana +10% Technique You will most likely start with this one, but it would be prudent to roll to another race as soon as possible. The small mana increase is decent, but pales in comparison to every other race that exists within the game. Unless you are intentionally challenging yourself, there is no reason not to get rid of it as soon as possible. Plus, you don't even get a cool appearance change, so what's the point? |

Fairy Tail RE Race FAQs
Overall, the best race is the God Slayer, but seasoned players may find more success with the Devil Slayer, as the raw stats gained for keeping the Demonization mode up longer may suit them better.
Simply navigate to the Clan Reroll section in the Main Menu, which you open by pressing M.
You will need Race Spins, which you can obtain by typing in gift codes, via the Wizard Pass or by paying Robux.
Yes you do, so you should save plenty of Race Rerolls if you already have a decent race but want to acquire an even better one.
There is no reason to be upset as you can still use the Demon race effectively, or at least until you save up plenty of Race Rolls to guarantee the jump to one of the Slayer races.
