If you're looking to enchant one of your fishing rods in Fisch, you've come to the right place. This tier list will help you decide whether to keep the enchantment you get at the Keepers Altar, or if it's best to try and enchant your rod a second (or third) time.
All Enchantments in Fisch, Ranked
There are 21 possible enchantments that can be randomly applied to your chosen fishing rod. Unfortunately, you can't choose the enchantment that gets added to your rod, but you can enchant a rod as many times as you want.
Tier | Enchantment |
---|---|
S | Abyssal, Divine, Hasty, Quality, Resilient. |
A | Controlled, Noir, Steady. |
B | Breezed, Scrapper, Sea King, Storming. |
C | Blessed, Ghastly, Lucky, Mutated, Swift, Wormhole. |
D | Insight, Long, Unbreakable. |
S-Tier
Abyssal - The Abyssal Enchant is one of the best in Fisch. It gives you a 10% chance to catch Abyssal Fish and an 80% chance to x1.3 the fish's weight. It's essentially a money-making enchantment, giving you the chance to get bigger and more valuable fish that you'd struggle to get otherwise.
Divine - With +45% Luck from the Divine Enchant, you can enjoy trying to catch some of the rarer fish in Fisch. An extra 45% is a great amount of extra luck, which you could push even further with some good bait and a Trident Rod or a Kings Rod.
Hasty - Sick of waiting around for fish to get hooked on your bobber? Keep the Hasty Enchant on your fishing rod to benefit from +55% Lure Speed, which means that fish will be attracted to your rod faster.
Quality - Quality is one of my favorite Fisch enchantments because it can fix even the most terrible fishing rods and make them usable again. Enjoy +15% Lure Speed, +15% Luck, and +5% Resilience on any rod with the Quality Enchant.
Resilient - Some fish - especially Mythical ones! - are super annoying to catch because of how much the control bar moves around when you've hooked one. The Resilient Enchant gives you +35% Resilience, helping you increase your chances of catching a resisting fish by reducing how much the bar moves.
A-Tier
Controlled - +0.05 Control may not sound like a lot, but any added amount of control increases the size of the control bar at the bottom of your screen when you're trying to reel a fish in. The Controlled Enchant gives you the same amount of control as the Mythical Rod!
Noir - Albino and Darkened fish are certainly some of the rarer Mutations in Fisch. Getting this enchantment increases your chances of getting those fish by 10%!
Steady - Annoyed by the progress loss that some fish cause when they're hooked on your line? The Steady Enchant gives you -25% Progress Loss, which is great for catching more Mythic fish.
B-Tier
Breezed - There's nothing better than fishing on a windy day if you're looking to catch fish like the rare Napoleonfish or even the mythical Obsidian Swordfish. The Breezed Enchant gives you +65% Luck during windy weather, making it a great time to go fishing.
Scrapper - This is the best Enchant to have on a rod when you're planning on trying to catch Mythical fish. Some Mythical fish like the taste of Truffle Worms, which are annoyingly difficult to find in-game and expensive to accumulate. The Scrapper Enchant gives you a 60% chance of not consuming the bait you use to catch a fish.
Sea King - Add the Sea King Enchant to the Kings Rod and you've got a powerful combination for catching big fish. While the Kings Rod can handle the weight of any fish, the Sea King Enchant adds 10% to the size of the fish you catch.
Storming - Like the Breezed Enchant, the Storming Enchant is the perfect poor weather companion. Storming gives you +95% Luck during rainy weather, which is a mighty boost if you want to chase down Voltfish or Glacierfish!
C-Tier
Blessed - Blessed only gives you a +2% chance of getting the Shiny/Sparkling Mutation on the fish you catch, but it's 2% more than you had!
Ghastly - Ghastly gives you a 20% chance to catch fish with the Translucent mutation, but it's a bit redundant to have this enchantment if you have a Haunted Rod from the 2024 Fischfright event. Of course, if you missed the event or want to apply the enchantment to another rod with better stats, it still has its uses.
Lucky - 20% extra luck isn't a lot in the long run. There is plenty of bait in the game that can do that and more.
Mutated - An extra 7% chance of catching a Mutated fish is pretty poor. There are enough Mutation surges in Fisch that this enchantment feels lackluster.
Swift - Gotta go fast? Add +30% Lure Speed to your rod with the Swift Enchant to make your fishing trip more fruitful.
Wormhole - This is a bit of a weird Enchant, but it has its uses. The Wormhole essentially makes it so you have a 45% chance of catching a fish from any location on the map. If you're staying in one place for a while and want some variety, this could be an interesting Enchant to have.
D-Tier
Insight - This enchantment just gives you x1.5 EXP from all catches. It's not completely useless, but it's not the most useful enchantment to put on one of your rods, either.
Long - If you've ever wanted to make your fishing line 50 studs longer, this is how you do it. I've never wanted that, personally.
Unbreakable - Just buy the Kings Rod and have a dedicated rod for the fish that you think are going to get free of your other rods without breaking a sweat.
How to Enchant a Fishing Rod in Fisch
To enchant a fishing rod, you’ll need an Enchant Relic. If you’ve reached Level 30, you can purchase them from Merlin at the top of Sunstone Island for 11,000C$ - coordinates (-945, 220, -990).
Or, you can try your luck fishing. Keep an eye out for the cyan exclamation mark, which indicates you’ve hooked a Relic, though be prepared for slower reeling due to a 20% progress speed reduction. For those hunting Relics, The Depths is the easiest place to find them.
Once you’ve got an Enchant Relic, the next step is to visit the Keeper’s Altar, the only location where fishing rods can be enchanted. The Altar is located inside the Statue of Sovereignty, accessed via a wooden elevator inside the cave.
Pay Cole 400C$ to use the elevator and head down to the Altar. When you’re ready to enchant, equip the rod you want to upgrade and interact with the Altar at night. This will consume your Enchant Relic and apply a random enchantment to your rod. Since the enchantment is random, you might not get your desired effect on the first try, so be prepared to repeat the process if necessary.
