Best Ranked Units in Five Nights

Here are some of the units and the reasons why they belong to a particular tier.

S+ Tier

  • Astral Bonnie: While the base unit costs $50000 and you can only place three at any given time, Astral Bonnie's range of 30 and damage of 500 with a cooldown of only 0.1 allows it to take down waves of enemies with ease. It is also one of the rarest units and can only be obtained by summoning or trading.
  • Overclocked Puppeteer: If any unit is best for end gameplay, it's Overclocked Puppeteer. Packing a whopping 35000 damage and a range of 35 which can be upgraded to 63000 and 45 respectively, you can rest easy after deploying a pair of this unit.
  • Animdude: Evolved from Scott, Animdude does twice the damage but for the same cost as its predecessor. It is especially great for early to mid stages of the game all thanks to its passive ability that attacks enemies twice.

S Tier

  • Blighted Endo Freddy: Endo Freddy is one of the best units in the game. It has insane range, damage numbers, and a low cooldown timer, and on top of that, if you have enchantments like Boss Killer, it is literally a broken unit. You need this on your team if you are aiming for the leaderboard.
  • Fazbear Mafia: Donning a mobster look, Fazbear Mafia's passive ability allows him to call for armored cars to deal with enemies. With a cooldown of 0.2 seconds, it is perfect for mid-game when upgraded to level three or above.
  • Purple Guy: Costing only $600 to deploy, Purple Guy is one of the most sought-after units in the game, especially as a starter unit. Its passive ability that lets it spawn turrets unlocks at level two, so make sure to upgrade as soon as you get your hands on it.

A Tier

  • Shadow Bonnie: The Shadow Bonnies are not only the rarest but also the best units in the game. You should be able to get through almost half of the campaign using this unit alone, as it is very effective against all enemy types. The only downside is that it is tough to get due to its extremely low rarity.
  • Master Puppeteer: While its damage and range might not be the best, Master Puppeteer's ability sets him apart from other units as it lets him hit enemies ten times, making it great for the end stages of the game.
  • Foxy: Funtime Foxy is a great starter unit as its costs maxes out at $1000 at its highest level. With damage of 80 or 100, if you get a shiny one, it should get you through the first few stages without any hiccups.

B Tier

  • Plane Boy: Plane Boy is one of the few units with a high damage stat in the game. On top of that, the unit can fly, enabling it to cover an extensive range irrespective of its position on the ground.
  • Withered Bonnie: The laser shooting Withered Bonnie is another solid unit in the game. Its main highlight is its insane range and the ability to switch between single or multiple targets.
  • Withered Freddy: Although its damage stats are sub-par, Withered Freddy auto machine makes up for its lack of power through its fire rate and range.

C Tier

  • Freddy: Freddy is one of the first units you obtain in the game. While it is helpful in clearing the first few levels against Foxy zombies and zombie Bonnie, the damage numbers are low, and the fire rate is awful compared to something from B-Tier units. You'll want to upgrade from this as soon as you can.
  • Shadow Freddy: Shadow is one of those units that has a decent range, damage, and fire rate for early-level stages. However, it unit needs to get a slight buff in all departments in order to reach the status of a B-tier unit.
  • Toy Chica: Toy Chica is one of the best units for beginners in Five Nights TD that has solid damage numbers and a very fast reload time. It's great for clearing enemies appearing in the starting to mid-level stages. The only disadvantage is its range, which can be boosted if you get the range enchantment.

Support Tier

  • Units in this tier should not be used as standalone but to support your B+ Tier characters.
