Fishing is a Life Skill in Grand Blue that helps with progression (rewards XP and Gold) and obtaining cooking ingredients for various dishes. To start fishing, get a Wooden Rod and buy Worms (to use as bait) from Ricky at Anchor Town. Catch and sell fish to the Merchant to earn Gold and XP and start your fishing journey in Grand Blue. As you progress, you can get better Rods to catch bigger and more valuable fish. What is the Best Fishing Rod in Grand Blue

The Silverline Rod is the best fishing rod in Grand Blue, as of the Early Access meta. It offers the highest Lure Speed, Luck, and Control in the game. You’ll catch fish quicker, reel them in faster, and the mini-game becomes a lot easier.

How to Get All Baits in Grand Blue

As of the Early Access meta, there are three different types of bait/lure that you can use in Grand Blue. The table below shows where to get them and their prices:

Worm is the best bait/lure in the game right now. Simmer Roe and Silverline Lure are currently bugged/broken, as those stat buffs do not translate into gameplay.

To get Oil in Grand Blue, you need to catch and cook 2x Sardines on the Cooking Station in the Mansion Kitchen at Maple Village. Sardines are an Uncommon fish that you can catch easily by fishing in the Sea.

Where can I sell my fish in Grand Blue?

To sell the fish you’ve caught, go and talk to the Merchant NPC at Anchor Town or Clown Town. At Anchor Town, you’ll find the Merchant in the Harbor area. At Clown Town, the Merchant is near the Beast Tamer mini-boss. 

How to get Terry’s Ring in Grand Blue?

Terry’s Ring is currently the best accessory for fishing in Grand Blue. You can get it by completing Two-Worm Terry’s questline at Anchor Town. When equipped, there’s a 50% chance that you Worm bait won’t get consumed when fishing with it.
