If you’re bored of the basic moves and want to show off some flashy skills, you need to learn fighting styles. There are various fighting styles in Grand Blue that you can obtain by talking to different NPCs/trainers. In this guide, we’ll tell you exactly how to get every fighting style that is currently available in Grand Blue, including the Trickster and the Blackleg. So, let’s get right to it.
What Are All The Fighting Styles in Grand Blue

As of the Early Access meta, there are four fighting styles obtainable and usable in Grand Blue. These are: Brawler, Marksman, Novice Swordsman, and Trickster. Read on to learn more about each of these fighting styles and how to get them:
How to Get the Brawler Fighting Style in Grand Blue
To get the Brawler Fighting Style in Grand Blue, you simply have to talk to the Wallace NPC at the Anchor Town Beach. Once you reach the beach, go towards the docks (where you get fishing rods and worms), and you’ll find the Wallace NPC working out right behind the fishing rods and worms shop.
Talk to him, and he’ll teach you the Brawler Fighting Style in exchange for 250 Gold.

How to Get the Marksman Fighting Style in Grand Blue
For the Marksman Fighting Style, you need to talk to the Captain Esopo NPC at Maple Village. You’ll find him standing near the Maple Village Rocky Shores area in the top-left corner of Maple Village.
When you enter Maple Village through the docks, head towards the left corner of the island to find a beach-like area. You’ll find a Captain Esopo NPC just standing there. This is the Captain Esopo Boss that you can fight or avoid. You’ll see a corridor right behind this NPC and will find the Captain Esopo trainer NPC standing there.
Talk to him, and he will teach you the Marksman Fighting Style in exchange for 1,000 Gold.

How to Get the Novice Swordsman Fighting Style in Grand Blue
To get the Novice Swordsman Fighting Style in Grand Blue, you need to find and talk to the Shiro NPC. You can find him near the Anchor Town Pond.
If you don’t know where that is, simply go to the location of the Captain’s Brat NPC. From there, you’ll see a fruit and vegetable stall to the right of the NPC. Go towards that stall and jump over the wall behind it to easily find the Pond and the Shiro NPC (Novice Swordsman Trainer).
Similar to the Brawler trainer NPC, Shiro will also charge you 250 Gold to teach you the Novice Swordsman style.

How to Get the Trickster Fighting Style in Grand Blue
The Trickster Fighting Style is tricky to obtain because you have to complete multiple steps.
- Talk to the Loki NPC in Anchor Town and complete his quests.
- Get the Pickpocket Skill and the Pocket Sand Skill (10% drop from the Hoarder Boss).
- Go to Clown Island and complete the quests of the Loki NPC again.
In Anchor Town, you’ll find the Loki NPC near the Anchor Town Harbor area. He is sitting near the water on the right side of the harbor area. Talk to him and bring him the items he asks for to complete his quest.
After this, grind The Hoarder Boss until you get the Pickpocket Skill and the Pocket Sand Skill.
Note: If you skip the first two steps, the Loki NPC in Clown Town will not spawn for you, and you won’t be able to get the Trickster Fighting Style.

After completing the first Loki NPC quest and obtaining both skills, spawn your boat and go to Clown Town. In Clown Town, you’ll find the Loki NPC standing in one of the seats of the Ferris wheel. Use the various Ferris wheel components to climb up and reach the NPC. Talk to him again, and he’ll teach you the fighting style for 1,000 Gold.
You can unlock more skills by completing more of his quests after obtaining the Trickster Fighting Style.
How to Get the Blackleg Fighting Style in Grand Blue
The Blackleg is currently unobtainable in Grand Blue. It was previously visible in the Fighting Styles section of the Logbook but has now been removed. Whenever the developers add the Blackleg Fighting Style to Grand Blue, we’ll add the complete obtainment guide right here. So, make sure you check back later.
How to Change Your Fighting Style in Grand Blue

If you want to change your current Fighting Style in Grand Blue, you have to go to the Food Fod building in Anchor Town. You can easily locate this building by going to the Anchor Town Plaza area (where the Aria singer NPC is).
Use the stairs on the right side of the building and enter the room. In this room, you’ll see a closet. Interact with the closet to open your Fighting Style and Fruits Inventory.
In the Devil Fruits section, you can change your current Devil Fruit (only permanent Devil Fruits show up in this Inventory). And in the Fighting Style section, you can change your current Fighting Style.
That’s all there is to know about the Fighting Styles in Grand Blue. Hopefully, this guide will help you obtain the Fighting Style that you prefer.
