Anime Shadow gives you various anime characters as companions - called "pets" in the game - which allow you to battle against different enemies to earn coins and complete quests. Here's how to get all pets in Anime Shadow.
All Pets in Anime Shadow - Pull Rates & Rarity
A quick note on pull rates before you continue reading: The pull rates in Anime Shadow will vary slightly, depending on your luck (seen in the bottom right corner of all screenshots in this guide). My numbers are based on a luck rate of +0.5, and I have not purchased any additional luck points from the shop.
Leaf Village Pets - Pull Rates & Rarity
In the Leaf Village, the starting world for all Anime Shadow players, you can head over to the two-star stands in front of the Trial Mode gate to get more pets. The Leaf Village is home to the cheapest pets, and you'll probably spend a fair bit of time here trying to unlock all of the pets because of that.
To pull one pet in this world, it's 30 Coins or 199 Tickets. Once you pull 7,500 pets from either star, you get a chance to pull for a Mythical pet. That's the same in every world - but it doesn't cross worlds. If you have 300/7,500 pulls in the Leaf Village, they don't transfer over to Piece Town. Each world keeps its own count. Having pets is great, but don't forget about getting the best mounts.
Pet | Chance of Pulling | Rarity | Where to Pull |
---|---|---|---|
Sakore | 77% | Common | Coin Star |
Lee Sin | 19% | Rare | Coin Star |
Garee | 3.2% | Epic | Coin Star |
Kebashi | 0.57% | Legendary | Coin Star |
Sasuko | 0.0057% | Mythical | Coin Star |
Neroto | ??? (Secret pull) | Mystery | Coin Star |
Itacho | 84% | Epic | Ticket Star |
Hoshirame | 15% | Legendary | Ticket Star |
Modare | 0.15% | Mythical | Ticket Star |
Once you've pulled your pets, you may wonder which ones to keep. Keeping Mythical and Mystery pets is always the best practice because they're rare and powerful, but what about more common pets? Hoshirame has a damage output of 35 at Lv. 1, the same as Kebashi. The difference between the two is that Kebashi's special attack is 0.5 seconds slower than Hoshirame. Considering the cost difference, I'd recommend trying to pull Kebashi.
If you pull a Sasuko, though, add him to your main pets. There are complaints in the community about how basic Neroto's attack is in Anime Shadow, so if aesthetics matter to you, Kebashi and Sasuko have flashier attacks.
Piece Town Pets - Pull Rates & Rarity
After you finish all of the quests over in the Leaf Village, you can use the doorway to transport yourself to Piece Town. This area is based on - you guessed it - One Piece! The price of a pet pull is higher in Piece Town: it's 300 Coins instead of 30 Coins, which is a huge increase from the first world to the second.
Thankfully, the price of the ticket star pulls stays the same - just 199 tickets per pull. Like the Leaf Village, there are six characters you can pull using coins and three you can pull using tickets.
Pet | Chance of Pulling | Rarity | Where to Pull |
---|---|---|---|
Kobi | 76% | Common | Coin Star |
Kome | 19% | Rare | Coin Star |
Sobe | 3.3% | Epic | Coin Star |
Zore | 0.6% | Legendary | Coin Star |
Marce | 0.006% | Mythical | Coin Star |
Edwerd | ??? (Secret pull) | Mystery | Coin Star |
Lufe | 84% | Epic | Ticket Star |
Hawk | 15% | Legendary | Ticket Star |
Rogere | 0.15% | Mythical | Ticket Star |
For Piece Town, Zore will be your most likely pull from the rarer categories. I pulled several Zores, but only kept one to level up. A Lv. 1 Zore has 37 damage and needs seven seconds for their special attack. As they have the same stats as Kebashi, it's best to look at their stat growth as they level up. Zore beats out Kebashi by getting 99 damage at Lv. 10.
Though Zore is great, if you get Marce or Edwerd, switch to those pets or add them to your team. You can have three pets equipped at any one time. Edwerd is known as an extremely powerful pet in-game and is highly sought-after by players.
Bizarre City Pets - Pull Rates & Rarity
Now that you're in the third world, you'll experience an increase in the difficulty of your fights. The boss fight from Piece Town probably took you a little longer than you were expecting, and that means that you need to start focusing on feeding your pets to level them up more than you have before. I completed Piece Town with three Lv. 10 pets, just to give you an idea of what your minimum level should be at the moment.
In Bizarre City - which is based on Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - the pet pulls cost 1,500 coins and 199 tickets. The coin cost is quickly rising, so I'd advise having your pets fight the boss at the front of the island whenever you do your pulls. You may as well earn some money while you can't do anything else.
Pet | Chance of Pulling | Rarity | Where to Pull |
---|---|---|---|
Jonan | 76% | Common | Coin Star |
Joly | 19% | Rare | Coin Star |
Kera | 3.3% | Epic | Coin Star |
Josu | 0.6% | Legendary | Coin Star |
Georne | 0.006% | Mythical | Coin Star |
Jote | ??? (Secret pull) | Mystery | Coin Star |
Delo | 84% | Epic | Ticket Star |
Poci | 15% | Legendary | Ticket Star |
Diorne | 0.15% | Mythical | Ticket Star |
As with the other worlds, it's more likely that you're going to eventually pull a Legendary than a Mythical or Mystery pet. Josu has an attack damage rate of 100 at Lv. 10 - which is the minimum level you'll get in Bizarre World. I don't see many Jotes from other players, but if you manage to snag this Mystery pet, you should definitely show them and their power off.
It's not just Jotes, to be fair. The community seems to favor One Piece and Dragon Ball characters over the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure characters. I'm with them; I'm not a Jojo fan.
Dragon World Pets - Pull Rates & Rarity
Welcome to Dragon Ball Z– I mean, Dragon World. In this fourth area, the cost of buying from the pet banner with coins is 12,500 Coins, so I hope you saved up while you were in Bizarre City. The ticket star remains steady at 199 tickets, not that any F2P player has gotten more than three or four hundred of those from various Anime Shadow codes.
As we don't know what further updates from Anime Shadow will bring, be sure to level up your pets and save up some more coins and tickets for the next update. For now, though, you can enjoy trying to pull your favorite Dragon Ball characters from the table below. Honestly, the Dragon World names are the best ones. I really want Gegota, but that's probably a pipe dream.
Pet | Chance of Pulling | Rarity | Where to Pull |
---|---|---|---|
Keririn | 74% | Common | Coin Star |
Mr. San | 19% | Rare | Coin Star |
Trank | 3.3% | Epic | Coin Star |
Peccole | 0.6% | Legendary | Coin Star |
San Geko | 0.006% | Mythical | Coin Star |
Vogete | ??? (Secret pull) | Mystery | Coin Star |
Frooze | 84% | Epic | Ticket Star |
Whesi | 15% | Legendary | Ticket Star |
Gegota | 0.16% | Mythical | Ticket Star |
For Dragon World, the player-favorites are San Geko, Vogete, Whesi, and Gegota. They're everywhere in the community Discord, but they can be much harder to get because of their rarity and the ticket cost. If you don't have the tickets to spend, aim for Peccole until you can pull San Geko or Vogete.
Peccole has an attack of 120 at Lv. 10 with a special attack that takes 0.7 seconds, which is less than the minimum level you'll pull a Dragon World pet at anyway. The levels of the pets rise as you progress through each world, so you shouldn't be pulling any pets less than Lv. 10 after you hit Bizarre World. Dragon World has pets that are level 16 or higher.
Vogete is a bit of a powerhouse. His Lv. 1 stats are 180 damage and 0.55 seconds for a special attack. Considering you won't pull him at Lv. 1, you can imagine how wild his stats get.
Chimera Village Pets - Pull Rates & Rarity
Chimera Village was added to Anime Shadow on November 8, 2024. It features pets that are inspired by characters from Hunter x Hunter. Unlocking the world is so expensive, though! At 10,000,000 coins, I hope you've been saving up for this update. You'll need even more money than that, too, because pets cost 47,500 coins per pull or 199 tickets. The secret pull is Gom, who is based on Gon from the series.
Pet | Chance of Pulling | Rarity | Where to Pull |
---|---|---|---|
Aloka | 76% | Common | Coin Star |
Kiloa | 19% | Rare | Coin Star |
Fotan | 3.3% | Epic | Coin Star |
Kura | 0.6% | Legendary | Coin Star |
Hesuka | 0.006% | Mythical | Coin Star |
Gom | ??? (Secret pull) | Mystery | Coin Star |
Pitou | 84% | Epic | Ticket Star |
Cholo | 15% | Legendary | Ticket Star |
Nero | 0.16% | Mythical | Ticket Star |
Pets from the Chimera Village are being pulled between level 20 and level 25. At Lv. 30, a Gom pet can do 5,800 points of damage and has a special attack that renews every 0.7 seconds, so it's worth feeding your other pets to Gom. But pulling a Gom might take you a while, so it's better to focus on the pets that you're more likely to get.
Ideally, try to pull a Fotan or a Kora. I pulled three Fotans in my first 50 pet pulls, so the odds aren't amazing, but they aren't awful. A Lv. 25 Fotan does 400 points of damage and has a special attack cooldown of 0.7 seconds. At Lv. 30, their damage is boosted to 690. That said, Fotan is comparable with a Lv. 30 Trank. Trank's Lv. 30 damage is 660, so there isn't a huge difference if you want to keep using your Dragon World characters.
Kaisen Academy Pets - Pull Rates & Rarity
The devs who made Anime Shadow didn't try particularly hard to hide the inspiration for this new world. If you like Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaisen Academy has a few popular characters running around with new names. It costs a lot to get into Kaisen Academy, though. You'll need 25,000,000 coins, and there wasn't a huge amount of time between updates for players to save up.
Pet | Chance of Pulling | Rarity | Where to Pull |
---|---|---|---|
Nobera | 76% | Common | Coin Star |
Togue | 19% | Rare | Coin Star |
Megome | 3.3% | Epic | Coin Star |
Moki | 0.6% | Legendary | Coin Star |
Goji | 0.006% | Mythical | Coin Star |
Itadoro | ??? (Secret pull) | Mystery | Coin Star |
Nenemi | 84% | Epic | Ticket Star |
Kuzar | 15% | Legendary | Ticket Star |
Hojime | 0.16% | Mythical | Ticket Star |
Despite the chance percentages remaining the same as Chimera Village, I actually found it incredibly difficult to pull any decent pets from Kaisen Academy. I wasted a lot of coins on rolls, only to be stuck with a small hoard of Noberas and Togues. As always, aiming for the Secret or Exclusive pull is best. For Kaisen Academy, that's Itadoro, who you can evolve into Sokona.
How to evolve Pets in Anime Shadow
To evolve, go back to the Leaf Village and walk through the portal that takes you to the trials. Inside, go to the far left of the room, and you'll find a machine for evolving pets. Not all pets can be evolved - only certain secret pets. At the moment, it's limited to Itadora and Gom. Itadora and Gom are two of the strongest pets in the game, so keep them if you pull them.
You'll have five quests to complete no matter what world you're in. They're time-consuming, and you can't complete them without some good pets at your side. The only exception is Kaisen Academy, which has no quests (amount or a badge for completing the area). Yes, it feels weird calling them pets.
Every player starts with a basic Lv. 1 Sakore from the Leaf Village. A Lv. 1 Sakore can only do 8 damage per attack, but she can do her special attack every second. She's a good starter pet, but you'll be able to find better ones by earning coins and/or tickets and walking over to either of the stars by EximiusX (the quest giver).
How to get more Stars in Anime Shadow
The stars are always at the front of the world, making them extremely easy to find. The one on the left (on top of the green stand) can be accessed by any player with coins to spend. You can get more coins by fighting the various enemies around each map. The one on the right (on top of the pink stand) is a little trickier. This pet banner only takes tickets, which you'll need to buy or get from redeeming Anime Shadow codes.
