How to become a Special Class Investigator

You may already that new players can join the Investigator club by visiting the CCG Base main building (press P to display location overlay). Simply talk to the receptionist and ask her to add you to the CCG. You begin as a Rank 3 Investigator and have to rank up nine levels to reach the Special Class Investigator status. The CCG rankings proceed as follows:

1. Rank 3 Investigator
2. Rank 2 Investigator
3. Rank 1 Investigator
4. Second Class Investigator
5. Semi-Associate First Class
6. Associate First Class
7. First Class Investigator
8. Associate Special Investigator
9. Special Class Investigator

Ranking up is a time-consuming process but the essence is this: fight Ghouls, complete quests, eliminate bosses, keep upgrading your Quinques, and help your faction. You can always check your rank and progress by talking to the receptionist Saiyo Natsuki.

How to reach 25,000 Reputation

25k Reputation is a hefty ask to acquire the Arata-Proto Quinque. However, you can earn this much stat while ranking up your investigator level if you're aware from the beginning. Reputation is mainly earned by completing missions and gripping Ghouls. The final step begins once you've reached the Special Class Investigator status and 25,000 Reputation on your character.

Where to find Damir D. Mado NPC

Walk up the stairs to reach the second floor of the CCG Base building where you talked to Feye Sasaki, the lady who gave you the Briefcase Quest Quinque earlier. Next to her, you'll find an NPC in a white coat facing the other way (see the image above). This right here is First Class Investigator Damir D. Mado, your person of interest. You need to give him 5 One-Eyed Kakuja Fragment pieces to get the Arata-Proto in return.

How to obtain One-Eyed Kakuja Fragments

Getting One-Eyed Kakuja Fragments is a tedious process as you need to participate in a lot of battles and boss fights in order to craft this item. The recipe for a single One-Eyed Kakuja Fragment is:

• 2 One-Eyed Fragments
  • Start a Boss Raid to fight Eto. Defeat this boss to obtain One-Eyed Fragments.
• 2 Kakuja Fragments
  • At the crafting bench, use the following items to craft one Kakuja Fragment:
    • 5 Bikaku Fragment
    • 5 Ukaku Fragment
    • 5 Koukaku Fragment
    • 5 Rinkaku Fragment

These Fragments can be obtained by completing missions on the job board in the CCG Base and looting containers dropped by defeated players and bosses. You can choose missions like Exterminate Some Ghouls, Aogiri Higher-Ups, and Aogiri Boss. The higher the difficulty, the better the drop rate of rewards including Fragments.
