Learn everything about Geode in Abyss!

Geodes are unique items in Abyss that can be obtained via the mini-game and processed to get Artifacts that provide unique passives for your character, along with race. While everyone is aware of the item, most don't know how to acquire or process it into Artifacts. If you are one of them, don't worry! In this guide, I will explain everything about Geodes.

How to acquire Geodes in Abyss

In Abyss, players have a random chance to obtain Geodes while fishing. Occasionally, a treasure chest icon appears on the mini-game bar alongside the regular AI fish bar. If players successfully fill the internal treasure chest icon and win the mini-game, they will receive a Geode along with the fish added to their inventory.

Although they appear randomly, you can find them showing up fairly consistently while fishing. On average, you will have a chance to play the Geode mini-game in about 1 out of every 5 attempts.

Remember, if you win the mini-game before completing the internal Treasure Chest Bar, you will not get the Geode. So, the next time the Treasure Chest icon appears, try to fill your main progress bar to at least 75%. Then, shift your focus to filling the internal Treasure Chest bar until you earn a check mark, before returning to complete the main progress bar and win the game.

How to open Geode in the Abyss

After acquiring a few Geodes, you’ll need to open them to receive a random Artifact. To do this, head over to the Virelia NPC near the Tubes Shop. Interact with her and select the Open Geode option. Choose the Geodes from your inventory and pay the required fee to begin the process. The opening time depends on the type of Geode. For example, a Mossy Geode takes 1 minute to open and costs $75.
