How to get Magma, Imp and Ancient Shovels in Dig It (Volkanyo Update)

In the latest Volkanyo Update, the developers have introduced three new shovels to the base game - Magma, Imp, and Ancient. All of these are some of the best in the game right now, rivaling the best, like Solar or Megalodon Shovel. So, if you want to get your hands on one or all of these Shovels, here is a brief guide about acquiring each one of them.

How to get the Magma Shovel in Dig It

To start, we have the Magma Shovel. This is present right at the entrance of the Volkayno island, opposite the evil merchant who will purchase all your inventory items. You can buy this Shovel for 67500 Money if you are level 30+. For the stats, you can refer to the below table.

This is a mid-level shovel that is great for beginner players who are digging out epic and legendary items in the game.

How to get the Imp Shovel in Dig It

The next Shovel is the Imp Shovel. This Shovel requires you to visit the Devil's Pit in Dig It. For this, you need the Molten Key (Exotic Rarity Item) that can be dug on the Volkayno island. So, start digging for this item around the bottom areas of Volkayno Island, especially near the GO neon signboard adjacent to the elevator. After you get the item, use the key and reach the Devil's Pit. Here, complete the Brewton NPC quest by providing x1 Pepper, x1 Lava Flower, x1 Crystal, x1 Lava Slime & x1 Lava Bucket. Using these ingredients, he will make the fire resistance potion and give it as a reward. Consume the potion and cross the hanging wooden bridge to reach the other side. If you don't consume it, you will burnt to death before making two to three steps. On the other side of the bridge, you will find the Imp Shovel, which can be purchased for 40000 Money and possesses the following stats.

This is also a decent mid-level Shovel that is similar to the Magma Shovel and is suitable for digging rare to epic-type items.

How to get the Ancient Shovel in Dig It

The final and most vital Shovel added to the game as part of the Volkayno update is the Ancient Shovel. To get this, you must travel further down the Devil's Pit and reach the Ancient Trials. For this, you require another key called Ancient Key (Exotic Rarity Item) that can be dug and found near the various NPCs standing near the Imp Shovel Purchase area. Once you get it, use it to open the doors with eyes at the end of this area. Here, you will find a small obby that requires you to jump a few rocks and move past swinging objects. At the other end, you will reach the Oasis. Now, speak with the Oni NPC, who will ask you to dig out and complete the entire collection of the Oasis Area to access the Ancient Shovel at the center. So, start digging and collect all 13 items in this area to finish the Oasis collection(100%). Once done, you can get the Ancient Shovel for 800,000 Money, and it requires you to be above level 120.

Speaking about its stat, it is currently the best, if not the second-best Shovel in the game, only to be challenged by the Megaladon Shovel added during Valentine's Update. I highly recommend getting this Shovel if you want to dig for exotic to secret-type items very quickly.
