How to get the Avalanche Totem in Fisch

Call an avalanche in the mountains!

The Northern Expedition is one of the biggest Fisch updates, as it has introduced several new unlockable items, explorable regions, and quests to the game. One unique item is the Avalanche Totem, which allows players to summon an avalanche in the Northern Summit mountain. Here's how you can obtain it.

The Avalanche Totem is hidden on a secluded cliff slightly ahead of the Overgrowth Caves campsite. Once you reach the Northern Summit island by warping through the Northern Expedition portal in the sea, the first thing to do is to purchase the Basic Oxygen Tank (1000C$) from the base camp as you will need it later. From there, follow the ladder trail that leads inside the island and up the mountain (refer to the images above).

Initially, on the path, there was a gap between two cliffs that had to be covered using the Glider, but now there's a rock that allows you to cross easily without using any equipment. Keep hugging the mountain while crossing the cliffs and you'll soon reach the Overgrowth Caves POI.

From here, you need to climb up the ladders to your right (first image above) to move up the mountain and towards the Avalanche Totem. However, I suggest you go left to the Overgrowth Caves campsite first. Warm up your body there and refill oxygen from the tanks (second image above). This is necessary as if either of the meters drops to zero, you'll instantly die and respawn. You can also purchase your stay there for 35C$ and buy the Avalanche Rod for 35,000C$.

Once fully prepared, head up the mountains by climbing the ladders and following the cliff path while hugging the left side. When you reach a cliff with guardrails (first image above), simply drop down and keep walking down the narrow path on your left. Climb up a series of ladders and then you'll come up on a bridge I've shown in the third picture. Turn right to where the arrow points and you'll find the Avalanche Totem placed against a rock by the cliff there.

You can purchase the item from there for 150,000C$ and use it to summon avalanches. The Yellow Energy Crystal, a requirement for getting the Heaven's Rod, can only be unlocked during an avalanche, and one occurring naturally is quite rare. Therefore, you can summon the natural disaster using the Avalanche Totem instead of waiting and get the Crystal with ease.
