The Budling is a powerful Companion in Fisch, found at Living Garden. Like most Companions in Fisch, you must perform a simple task associated with the Budling Companion to add it to your inventory and use its passive effects. How to find the Budling Companion in Fisch
The Budling Companion lives in the Living Garden and usually roams the center area at GPS (-2430, -316, -2914), next to the Moosewood Mirror. This isn't a fixed position, as the Budling usually paces around the entire map but starts from the location mentioned above. You can easily identify the Budling Companion by its blue flower head, and it holds a Cyan Seed in its hand.
How to get the Budling Companion in Fisch
Before speaking with the Budling Companion, make sure you have 100% completed the Living Garden Bestiary, as it's one of the requirements to obtain the Companion. If you haven't, I suggest checking out our Living Garden Bestiary Guide to catch the remaining ones missing from your book.
Once you have completed it, speak with the Budling Companion, who will talk about his Cyan Seed and wants to plant it in the soil. The objective is to take him to the other side of the garden where you can plant seeds.
Now, walk slowly to the GPS location (-2295, -320, -2991). Here, you can find a large leaf bridge that will take you to the center part of the garden. Immediately, you will find another brown trunk bridge that will lead you to the other side of the garden. Take that to reach the other side. Hop across the stone terrain to reach the planting area.
Remember, you cannot touch the water at any time during the entire escort mission; if you do, Buddling will reset, and you have to restart the entire mission. Also, you cannot interact with Buddling if any other player on the server is currently escorting Buddling to finish their task.
Budling Companion Passives & Stats
The Budling Companion has a powerful and interesting passive ability. Basically, each time you catch a perfect fish, the eyes of your Budling will shine. This shine keeps increasing as you catch more perfect fish. The more shine a Budling has in its eye, the higher the chance of avoiding trash, crates, baits, barrels & any items.
Another useful passive is that, at night, the Budling can even catch fish that prefer daytime luck, helping you catch both day- and night-preferred fish. The final useful passive reduces seed planting by 50%, letting you farm your seed products faster.
