In Update 6.03, the developers have added a new vehicle called the Taxi or Cabbie, which players can add to their Garage by completing a simple vehicle quest that revolves around finding specific objects. So, if you're a completionist like me and want to add the Cabbie to your collection, here's a detailed guide on the entire process.
Cabbie Vehicle Quest - A Dusty Trip
To start the quest, you must speak with Cole, the Cabbie NPC, standing at the entrance of the Garage in the Lobby. Speaking with him will initiate the quest, which involves finding 20 Licenses or Wallets within the game. These are newly added items that can spawn inside any map. However, I suggest you look specifically inside the following buildings on the Desert map, where it spawns most frequently.
- Store
- Tower
- Stables
- Watch Tower
- Campsite
- Gas Station
- Church
During each run, you can collect around 8 to 10 Licenses or Wallets before you run out of space in your backpack. If this happens, return to the Lobby and hand over the items in your possession to the NPC. After depositing, return to the Desert map and start collecting Licenses or Wallets until you reach a total of 20. This will take some time, as the item spawns rarely and is usually surrounded by dangerous enemies. So, be patient and prepare for a challenge.
Once you have reached the target, the Cabbie Taxi will be automatically added to your inventory and ready for use.
What is the Cabbie Vehicle in A Dusty Trip?
The Cabbie Vehicle is designed based on the Ford Crown Victoria model, which ruled the 80s and 90s as a popular cab vehicle in North America. It is a four-seater car that can reach speeds of up to 160 km/h. While the top speed is fantastic, I absolutely dislike the trunk space at the back, which can barely accommodate up to two Jerry Cans. Due to this, it is decent for hanging out with friends, but not ideal for farming scraps.
