Fisch has tons of fishing rods that give players special buffs and stats to get a better catch. The Friendly Rod is the latest addition in the new update, and getting it can be troublesome for some players. That is why we will show you how to get the Friendly Rod in Fisch and its benefits.
How to Get the Friendly Rod
When you spawn into the game, talk to the Marlon Friend NPC located at the docks in Moosewood. Choose the 'Open UI' option, and you'll see the friend quests which are randomly assigned to players. Since getting the friend rod is based on luck, you should invite a friend to increase your chances. Doing so will allow you to have 2 spins if you complete the quests.
The first quest will be to catch 10 Bait Crates. The best way to get them is to take a boat to Sunstone Island and head over to the Sundial Totem Cave. Here, you have the highest chance of catching Bait Crates. Keep in mind that both you and your friend have to complete the quest to get 2 spins.
After catching 10 crates, head back to the Marlon Friend and interact with him. Now, use your 2 spins to see if you get lucky and get the friend rod. There's a 1% chance of getting the rod, which aren't great odds.
If you do not get the rod here, you can always continue doing quests and get more spins. The more you spin, the chances of getting the friend rod increases.
Friendly Rod Stats and Showcase
Despite having to jump through a couple of hoops to get the rod, the stats aren't worth it, especially in the later stages of the game. It doesn't offer any buffs except for having a 10% chance to catch a 'Friend Fish'. This fish will have the head cosmetics of a random friend from your list.

While it is a fun way to keep the game engaging, this rod isn't good when compared to others that you can buy, even some of the cheaper options.
