Tower Heroes collaborated with Doors for the Halloween Spotlight event. If you want to get the Key and Rune in Tower Heroes, you’ll have to complete a Doors questline that links to both the Rune and the Key. You need to first complete the Rune questline to get the Rune Badge and an important item that will help you start the questline for the Key Badge. So, let’s get started!
How to Get the Rune in Tower Heroes

Getting the Rune in Tower Heroes is a lot easier than getting the Key. Simply follow the steps below:
- Launch Tower Heroes on Roblox. You can open it directly or through the Halloween Spotlight event.
- In the Lobby, you’ll see a new Doors button on the right side of your screen. Click on it to start the Rune questline.
- Hit Play, and a short cut scene will start that explains everything you need to do.
- After that, a game of tower defense will start, and you must survive 25 waves of enemies. You’ll have units like Soda Pop, El Goblino, and the Groundskeeper.
- Place El Goblino and Soda Pop on either side of the enemy spawn point. Put two more Soda Pop units and two Groundskeeper units along the path with two Wizards in there. Place two El Goblino units near the middle to take care of quicker enemies like the Trees. Upgrade your units as quickly as possible and add more units at the end of the map for the final boss.

Follow the steps and the strategy mentioned above, and you should be able to clear the required 25 waves and get the Rune Badge in Tower Heroes. Feel free to try your own strategies for the tower defense game if this one doesn’t work for you.
How to Get the Key in Tower Heroes
Once you’ve cleared the Rune quest, you can now try and get the Key in Tower Heroes. Go back to the Tower Heroes Lobby, open the Menu, go to Inventory, view your Stickers, and equip the Shears sticker.

After that, you have to go to the Event building. You’ll see a white door covered with vines in the left corner. Cut the vines using the Shears to open the door and go through the portal. Once you’re teleported to a new location and have a new avatar, you’ll hear the phone ringing. Pick it up to get information about where you are and what you have to do next.
The first thing you have to do is pick up a Blue Spirit to restore your Sanity. If you look to the bottom left corner, you’ll see that your Sanity is at 25%. If it goes to zero, a creature will hunt you down. You can find Blue Spirits scattered all around. Pick one up and come back to the telephone to make another call.
Your sanity will keep dropping, but don’t pick up all the Blue Spirits early. Save some for later as well. Make a thumb rule of not picking up a Blue Spirit until your Sanity reaches 30%.
After making the phone call, you have to complete a quest and defeat a boss. While completing the quests, avoid the floating red lights. They will deplete your Sanity instantly.
The Paintings Quest

For the first quest, you need to find 4 different paintings from the different rooms inside the mansion and hang them all in the Painting Room.
First Painting: From the telephone, look to your right, and you’ll see a door next to the staircase. Go through it and hug the right wall. Keep going with it to go up the stairs and enter the first room to your right. While standing in the door, you’ll see a painting in the top-right corner of your screen. You’ll have to do some obbying to get to it. Start from the table to your left.
Once you’ve picked up the painting, go all the way back to the hallway with the telephone and go to the room across with the big dining table. At the opposite end of the dining table is another door. Go through it and take a right. You’ll see a Blue Spirit in the center of the hallway. Enter through the door on the right and you’ll reach the Painting Room.
Remember this location because you have to come back three more times. Hang the painting you’re carrying on the right spot.
Second Painting: Exit the Painting Room, take a left, and enter the room to your right at the end of the hallway. You’ll see the painting right in front of you. Pick it up and hang it in the Painting Room.
Third Painting: To find the third painting, go right after exiting the Painting Room and go straight until you see a staircase to your right. Go straight until you reach a room with a broken floor. Jump through the crack to go to a basement-like area. Here, you must find and turn on 6 red valves. Go straight into the pool of water and look to your right to find the first valve. Avoid the Angler Fish at all costs. You’ll find three more valves on the walls across the whole area and two valves inside two different rooms- a small one and a room with the pipe puzzle in it.
Once you’ve activated all valves, you now have to complete the pipe puzzle, too. Move the pieces to connect the two tanks. The layout is different for everyone, but it's pretty easy to figure out. Keep an eye on your Sanity because this whole sequence takes a long time to complete. Once you complete both puzzles, you’ll see the painting rise up in an outdoor area.

Find a room with stairs and go up to go back to the mansion. Go to the room with the big Dining table, walk through the opposite door, take a right, and go straight to reach the outdoor area. You’ll see the painting to your left, sitting under a waterfall. Pick it up and hang it in the Painting Room.
Fourth Painting: Getting the fourth painting also requires you to solve a puzzle, but it takes less time than it took to get the third painting. Exit the Painting Room and go back to the room with the broken floor. Look to your right and go through the door. You’ll see a Blue Spirit in front of you and a cupboard to your left. Stay to your left and go up the stairs and through the door to reach the library.
Straight across from the entrance, you’ll see a big window. Go towards it to find three wolf statues. Turn the wolf statues to make them face the window. When you turn one statue, the statue next to it turns automatically. It takes time, but you can solve it easily. Completing the puzzle will open up a secret area that has the fourth painting. Here’s how to find it.
Go back to the room with the broken floor and make your way to the opposite end of the room to go through a door next to the shelf. Make sure you don’t fall through the broken floor. After you walk through the door, you’ll see another door to your left. Enter that room to find the entrance to the secret area. Go straight and then take a left to find the painting, and bring it back to the Painting Room.
Defeat the Boss
After collecting and hanging up all four paintings, the door to the Boss Room will open up. Go back to the room with the broken floor and enter the big door on the left to enter the Boss Room. To defeat the Boss, you have to collect 35 Blue Spirits and make sure you dodge all his attacks.

Once the boss is defeated, go to the door behind him and walk through the light to get your Key Badge.
