You'll have to do some trick-or-treatin' and complete multiple short quests to get the Key and Rune Badges in Welcome to Bloxburg for the Halloween Spotlight Event. The trick-or-treat part is easy, but the quests are slightly more complicated and take some time. So, we've put together this guide that will help you complete both the Key Tier and the Rune Tier.
How to Get the Rune in Welcome to Bloxburg
For the Rune Badge, you need to earn 500 Tickets by participating in various Halloween activities. Trick or Treat is the fastest way to earn tickets. So, follow the steps below to get started:
- Open your mobile phone and tap on Neighborhoods to join the biggest server you can find.
- Find buildings that have the Halloween posts on their entrance. These can be different buildings across town or other players' houses.
- Interact with the Candy Bowls to earn 25 Tickets per bowl. Only the Candy Bowls full of candy will reward you with Tickets. Empty bowls don't give you anything. Players' houses have a higher chance of full Candy Bowls than town buildings.
- To get 500 Tickets and complete the quest, you will have to collect candy from 20 full Candy Bowls.
Once you've gathered all required tickets, the Rune Tier is complete, and you will receive the Rune Badge for Welcome to Bloxburg. Read on to learn how to complete Sabrina's Quest and get the Key.
How to Get the Key in Welcome to Bloxburg
After completing the Rune Tier, you can now start the questline for the Key by opening the Halloween Event menu and clicking on Sabrina's Quest. She can be found in the Event Area. You can teleport there by clicking on the Halloween Event menu, clicking on the cauldron icon, and clicking on the Go To Event button.
You can only interact with Sabrina and start the quest line for the Key Badge after completing the Rune Tier. When you talk to Sabrina after getting the Rune, you'll have to complete the following tasks to get the Key.

| Find the Potion Recipe Book | You can find the book in a barn located across from Sabrina's tent. It's on the top floor of the barn, and you will have to climb up using the tree and enter the barn through the window. |
| Make Potions Using the Cauldorn | After retrieving the Potion Recipe Book, Sabrina will ask you to brew different potions in the cauldron located right behind her tent. Use any random item from the event area or your Inventory and put it in the cauldron to brew your first potion. Collect the potion and give it to Sabrina. After that, Sabrina will tell you what kind of potion she needs. See the list below for the potions and their recipes: 1. Potion of Levitation (Weightless): Use a balloon from the event area to brew the Potion of Levitation. 2. Potion of Haunting (Loud): Use a rattle from your inventory to brew the Potion of Haunting. |
| Get the Book From Bloxburg High | After making these potions, Sabrina will ask you to get a Book from the Bloxburg High Library. Open your mobile phone and teleport to Bloxburg High. Go to the Library and you'll find the book inside the castle corner. Pick it up and bring it to Sabrina. |
| Make More Potions Using the Cauldron | With the new book, Sabrina will ask you to create the following potions: 1. Potion of Ghost Vision (Bright): Use a flashlight to create the Potion of Ghost Vision. |
| Talk to the Fisherman | Click on the Halloween Event menu and go to the Key and Rune Tier tab, and teleport to the Fisherman by clicking on the Fisherman button. Once you're on the Docks, talk to the Fisherman, and he'll tell you the location of the page. It's near the Lighthouse. Use the same menu as above to teleport to the Lighthouse. Go towards the cliff and jump into the water. You'll find the page under the rocks. Pick it up and bring it to Sabrina. |
| Make More Potions Using the Cauldron | You'll need to create one final potion using the same cauldron. 1. Phantom Perception Potion (Seethrough): Use an Empty Beaker Glass to brew the Phantom Perception Potion. Now, she'll give you a potion to drink that will allow you to see ghosts. Drink the potion and then talk to Helen. You can find Helen by going left from the cauldron. |
| Find the Key | Helen will ask you to find a Key from the Bloxburg Graveyard. Teleport to the Graveyard using the Halloween Event menu, equip the shovel, and start digging at the grave with the witch's hat on the tombstone. Pick up the key and talk to Helen again to start the second part of the quest. |
| Find Helen's Keepsake Relic | Enter the mansion behind you and go through the first door. Take a right and go through two more doors until you find yourself in a room with a piano. From there, enter the room to your right (with the fireplace) and drop down through a trap door. Go straight into the room with the giant bed and go through the mirror area until you reach a coffin and a yard. Walk through the wooden door and you'll see a maze to your left. Go right, take a left, and then follow the path until you reach a barn-like area. At the end of the barn, you'll reach another maze made of a corn field. Navigate through it until you reach another forest-like maze. Keep going through to get to another maze made of rocks. Cross that and you'll reach a castle. Walk through multiple hidden doors that open automatically. You'll eventually end up in a mirror maze, the last maze of this quest. Navigate it and take the stairs up to go to the bedroom and find Helen's Relic. It's a golden, heart-shaped pendant. |
After completing all these quests and finding the Relic, talk to Helen again. She'll take the relic. Now, go to the opposite end of the mansion's yard to listen to and interact with the floating Relic to start a dialogue between Helen and Victor. Once that dialogue is finished, talk to Helen again, and then return to talk to Sabrina and finally finish the Key Tier.
