Even if you're still trying to decide what the best race or faction in Type Soul is, it is well worth giving Quincy a try. As a Quincy, you can earn the powerful Voltstanding ability that, although it can be difficult to achieve, is well worth the time. Here are all the steps you'll need to take to get it

How to get Voltstanding in Type Soul

The first step to getting Voltstanding is to make sure you are a Quincy. To do this, you'll need to venture to the castle, where you'll also need to go to get your Volstanding as well. If you aren't a Quincy already, here's a quick way to become one (or you can skip past the section straight to Voltstanding below):

How to become a Quincy in Type Soul

To become a Quincy, you'll need to the Quincy domain and enter the castle. Whether you're a new player or not, I can show you how to get there as quickly as possible. As you enter the game, you should enter the first location, which is a city. First, look around the city for two large yellow cranes. If you can't find them anywhere near you, find the large bridge and cross to the other side to look for them.

The yellow cranes are the first landmark that will help you find the entrance to the Quincy teleport.

Once you're at the yellow cranes, head to the corner outside of the fenced area where the shipping containers are. Then you'll want to head straight forward toward a park area ahead of you.

The park is the second landmark to help you find it. From the park, you'll be able to take a right down the road and see the tunnel. Through the tunnel, you can enter the waterfall-like portal that will automatically bring you to the Quincy domain.

You should spot the castle as soon as you enter the Quincy world. It is the largest building in the area. To become a Quincy, enter the bottom entrance near the ground level. You'll see some blue flames on either side. Inside is a large atrium with more blue flames around.

All you have to do to become a Quincy is interact with the statue at the center of the room by clicking on it. This will begin a dialogue in which you'll want to say, "I worship the King." You'll need to be a lost soul for this to work. If you aren't, just have another player kill you to reset it. Once you choose that line, you'll respawn as a Quincy.

How to become Elite Grade rank as a Quincy in Type Soul

The next step to getting Voltstanding is to make sure you're Elite Grade rank. To do this, you'll need to earn as much EXP as you can. You can do that easily by completing Quincy Board missions, killing Hollow NPCs, and doing raids.

Speak to Balance at Quincy Castle

Once you reach a higher level as a Quincy, you start working towards getting your Voltstanding. To do this, head to Quincy Castle, as shown in the steps above, then start climbing all the stairs up to the very top of the castle.

You'll know you're at the right place once you reach the location with two statues on either side. Then, head inside, continue straight forward down the hall, and enter the second room to the left.

Here is where the NPC Balance is. To get Volstanding, you'll need to speak with him. However, there are three stages you must first complete to prove that you're worthy. These can be time-consuming more than anything else, so I would strongly suggest teaming up in a faction or bringing some friends along for the ride. These are all the stages you'll need to complete to earn your Voltstanding:

• Voltstanding Stage 1
  • Complete 175 successful Raids
• Volstanding Stage 2
  • Defeat 3 Bawa Bosses and 150 Hollows, and earn 40 Elite Player Grips
• Volstanding Stage 3
  • Complete the Quincy Arrow Dodges Minigame

Once you complete all these stages, you can speak to Balance again and be able to learn your Voltstanding at last. These stages can take some time, but if you're part of a faction or have friends to help out, you can get through the raids and battles much faster.
