The new Piggy: Intercity game is set to release on Roblox this week. The open-world horror game is set to release this Friday, Jan. 15, or Saturday, Jan. 16.
MiniToon (@MiniToon on Roblox)—the original Piggy creator—confirmed the Piggy: Intercity release date via Twitter. It was supposed to launch earlier, but MiniToon claims to have lost development due to various Roblox client outages.
The release of Piggy: Intercity will be on the 15th or 16th (lost work time due to Roblox server shortages), so Friday or Saturday! Also, HUGE thanks to @.BSlickComposer for aiding me once again by composing tracks for the game!

Piggy: Intercity is the anticipated follow-up to Piggy, one of the most popular Roblox games on the platform. Unlike the original, Intercity is an open-world survival game, where players must fight against the infected. In other words, the stage and the stakes will be even higher in the new game.
In Intercity, players will scavenge for food, weapons, and survival items. True to Piggy form, the infected will be on the hunt, though however many infected roam the open-world is yet to be seen.
While not much is known about Piggy: Intercity, character customization will be a feature in the game. Iconic characters such as Georgie the Piggy, Mousy, and Giraffy will be available (some with updated appearances) according to Ant Antixx.
Ahoy, everyone! Happy New Year!
Behold a preview of what the character creation will be like for the open-world Piggy game!
I'm planning on releasing this game as an early concept sometime before the 15th of January, so early January to celebrate the New Year! pic.twitter.com/Q5XujtCi1q

The original Piggy, created Jan. 2020, has since soared to over seven billion visits and over eight million favorites, with a daily player count of approximately 60,000. Whether or not Piggy: Intercity reaches the same heights remains to be determined, but we'll be sure to cover new announcements when the game launches this weekend.
