Enchanting is a mechanic in Prospecting that allows you to increase the stats of your pan by expending rare materials. The enchanting process is random, though, and if you're going in without any knowledge, you're bound to waste your resources. So, to help you out, we created this ultimate enchants guide for the Prospecting Roblox experience. We'll first explain all the details about the enchanting process and then break down which enchants are the best and why in the tier list at the end. So, let's dive in!
How to Enchant Your Pan in Prospecting Roblox

To enchant your pan in Prospecting, you'll need to do the following:
- Acquire either Aetherite (Legendary) or Aurorite (Epic)
- Once you have one of those ores, go to the Mysterious Altar located next to the town, between Fortune River and Rubble Creek.
- Pull out the ore and interact with the altar to enchant the pan you currently have equipped.
- The ore will be consumed, and your pan will get one of the enchants from the list below.
- Repeat the process until you get the desired enchant on your pan.
How to Enchant Your Pan Using an Enchant Book

Another way to enchant your pan in Prospecting is to use an Enchant Book. You can buy Enchant Books from the Traveling Merchant who spawns randomly in one of the major areas at XX:45 every hour. The books usually cost between 50M and 200M. Once you get an Enchant Book, use it from your inventory to apply the enchantment to your currently equipped pan.

Prospecting Roblox Enchants Tier List
Tier | Enchants |
---|---|
S | • Cosmic: The best enchant in the game. Has all the best stats you'll need. • Divine: More capacity and luck than Blessed. It's one of the best enchants right now. • Titanic: Extra size and capacity is great for hunting down big ores necessary for crafting. It's just a bit weaker Cosmic. • Gigantic: Extra capacity gives you more ores on each pan. It's especially good if you already have high enough other stats. |
A | • Blessed: One of the best enchants for the early game. Both luck and capacity will help you get the rarest ores. It's not that good later on, though. • Destructive: The flat shake bonus is OP on all pans. However, it loses value later on as you get shake from crafted items. • Midas: The best money-making enchant. However, it loses value later on when you'll have more money than you'll ever need. • Forceful: A weaker Destructive. It's especially worth sticking with in the early game. |
B | • Unstable: Modifier chance isn't that OP of a stat. Still, it's +25% so it isn't that horrible. • Glowing: Shake speed is a good stat and if you're missing it from your items, it's a solid enchant to stick with. • Greedy: A weaker Midas. It's only good for the early game grinding. • Boosting: Only 10% extra size isn't really that good. • Lucky: Extra luck is always nice, especially early on. |
C | • Strong: 20 Capacity just doesn't make that much of a difference. • Swift: Not enough stats to warrant getting it. |
In the table above is the tier list of all enchants in Prospecting based on their overall power, regardless of what pan you have. Enchants with flat bonuses, such as Destructive and Forceful, are excellent on early/mid-game pans, but their value diminishes as you get better pans and extra stats from the crafted items. All other enchants follow the rarer-the-better logic, with the exception of Unstable, which is underwhelming because it gives one of the least important stats in Prospecting.
Prospecting Roblox Enchanting FAQ
Yes, there is a difference between enchanting with Aetherite or Aurorite. With Aetherite, you can get a few extremely rare enchants that you can't get with Aurorite.
What is the best location to farm Aurorite?
The best location to farm Aurorite in Prospecting right now is Fortune River.
Should you enchant early and mid game pans?
Aurorite is more expensive than most early/mid-game pans, and that's why it's not really worth using it to enchant them. Generally, it's best to enchant the Meteoric Pan and all the ones that are more expensive than it.
