Roblox Error Code 1001, explained

It's just a prank!

Error codes in video games are inarguably annoying, but some are also scary, such as the infamous Roblox 1001 error code. Let's unravel the mystery.

What is Roblox error code 1001?

Roblox Error Code 1001 is not a real error code. It's a prank that went viral on TikTok as a meme. The message reads, “We have detected another device in your house, in case you are alone, call 911 quickly.” This implies an intruder or a hacker is in the user’s house, and the person is in danger.

According to some users, the error code either existed but was very rare or discontinued in 2013, while others deny its existence. However, there is no evidence that Roblox ever had such an error code or that it has any way of detecting other devices in the user’s house.

Moreover, the error code does not follow the format of other Roblox error codes, which usually have four digits and start with 2 or 6. Therefore, Roblox Error Code 1001 is nothing but a fake and harmless prank that should not be taken seriously.

What is the origin of Roblox Error Code 1001?

The origin of Roblox Error Code 1001 is unclear, but it seems to have started as a prank or a joke on TikTok. In August 2023, a TikTok user named @popcat_robloxtiktok posted a video showing the error code on his screen and claimed he was alone in his house.

The video went viral, and many other users started to make similar videos or comment on the original video. Some users believed the error code was real, while others debunked it or made fun of it.
