Back in 2024 Roblox held a fun event called the Classic basically themed around the "classic" Roblox. It was all about classic games and classic items. Players would go into a hub and then into games which were part of The Classic to complete quests and get special event UGCs. Now, it seems that Roblox is bringing back The Classic again! Let's check out some rumors and why we think the event is coming back!
Roblox 20th Anniversary Hints at Upcoming Event
To celebrate its 20th Anniversary, Roblox has brought back the Classic theme for the platform, as well as some Classic UGCs. Everyone has been, rightfully, very excited about this, but there's one thing that brought that excitement up a couple of notches.
Roblox tweeted a mysterious video, stating that "time is everywhere but nowhere". The video itself is even more cryptic, but what people have been able to figure out is that something will happen on September 17, 2026. Our assumption right now is that they will make some kind of announcement on that date, and we can certainly hope the news is that The Classic is coming back to Roblox.
We haven't had a Roblox event in forever, not in even an official Egg Hunt. Considering how well received the Mega Hunt event was, it was very disappointing to miss out on it this year. It's not just pure hope that's fueling us into believing we will get The Classic 2.0 or the Mega Classic, or whatever else they might call it.
Multiple reputable Roblox leakers and news accounts have done some research. The @RBXEventHunters X account has already been sharing possible The Classic games. They're usually extremely correct when it comes to these events, leading us to believe that it is finally happening.
The response is both excitement and apprehension. While we are craving for an event, the possible games that may join it seem a bit off. For example, +1 Speed Keyboard Escape is on the list. That game has been breaking records, but would you consider it a classing? Same goes for Grow a Garden created in 2025.
The definition of Classic in this event may not just be old and popular games, but rather games that have had an impact on the platform. We're waiting until the event and the actual games are confirmed to pass on judgement on the game choices. So long as it's not like the Hatch, we're definitely looking forward to it!
