Roblox One Block Beginner’s Guide

Get the right start in One Block!

One Block is a survival and adventure experience on Roblox where you have to repeatedly mine one block to earn money and buy different resources. You can then use those resources to expand your base and venture out to adjacent islands. Although the in-game tutorial is good, it completely skips a few things, and those are exactly what our Roblox One Block beginner’s guide will cover, starting with how to make money fast. So, let’s dive right in!

How to Make Money Fast in One Block

Making money in One Block is simple. You use the different tools to mine the different forms of the one block and pick up the materials it drops to make money. Most of the materials dropped by the block are common items that can give you $3 to $60 per block.

That said, there are two other ways to make money quickly:

  1. Pick Up Ore Blocks: On occasion, the One Block drops different ores like Copper, Diamond, Gold, Coal, and more. These blocks are more valuable and can give you as much as $150 per block.
  2. Defeat Raiders: Killing the first few raiders is the best way to get some quick money early on. You can easily kill them with 3-5 hits each, and they’ll each drop a gold bar that rewards you $150. Each raid is a perfect opportunity to make at least $500.

Buy a Magnet from the General Workbench to make sure you pick up the most items and make the most money out of your team.

How to Get Food in One Block

Once you have some money, the next thing you want to focus on is food, or you’ll die of hunger in no time. However, unlike other survival games, you won’t find too much food lying around in One Block. Instead, you have to farm and kill to feed yourself. So, here’s how to set up a continuous food supply in One Block:

  1. Buy a Farm Stand and Farm Plots: Interact with the General Workbench and purchase a Farm Stand for $1000. Once you’ve placed that down, interact with it to buy a Farm Plot and different fruit seeds. Plant the seeds in the Farm Plot to get food like strawberries, bananas, peaches, oranges, and watermelons. Each seed pack will give you six fruits. Watermelons satisfy the most hunger out of all the fruits.
  2. Cook Meat in the Cooking Pot: The One Block will randomly drop sheep, cows, pigs, and chickens that you can kill to acquire raw meat. But, do not consume raw meat as it will increase your hunger instead of reducing it. Buy a Cooking Pot from the General Workbench for $1500 and place the raw meat in the pot to cook it.

Once you’ve set up a Farm Stand, a few farming plots, and a cooking pot, you’ll never run out of food in One Block. Although costly, these methods are a lot easier than waiting for the One Block to drop apples or going from island to island hunting for food.

How to Upgrade Tools/Weapons in One Block

Tools are the most important items in One Block. There are Stone, Iron, Gold, and Diamond tools in the game. You start the game with stone tools, which are the weakest tools in the game. There are two ways to upgrade tools in One Block:

  1. Find Better Tools in Treasure Chests: As you explore different islands, you’ll find treasure chests that you can open the same way you mine the One Block. These chests can have Iron or Gold tools. Diamond tools have a very low chance of appearing in treasure chests.
  2. Set up a Forge Workbench: For $2500, you can buy a Forge in your base, where you can buy all the tools in the game. Stone tools cost $500 each, Iron tools cost $1500 each, Gold tools cost $3000 each, and finally, the Diamond tools cost $6000 each.

Better tools will make the One Block mining easier and quicker. Similarly, a better sword or spear will help you defeat the raiders with fewer hits.

How to Earn Gems in One Block

Gems are the premium currency of One Block and are required to unlock different classes in One Block. Here are all the ways you can get Gems in One Block:

  1. Follow the Update: Whenever there is a new update coming to One Block, you can follow it from the Events tab or from the in-game option and get up to 25 Gems for free.
  2. Survive More Days: You get 1 gem for every day you survive on One Block. The more days you survive, the more gems you’ll get at the end of your run.
  3. Survive Raids: Every 3 days, raiders will attack your base. If you survive the raid, even if you don’t kill raiders, you’ll get 3 Gems. So, survive as many raids as you can if you want to farm Gems in One Block.

There are currently four classes in the game- Athlete, Farmer, Warrior, and Builder. Each class costs 300 Gems to unlock.

Which Islands To Visit First in One Block?

Islands in One Block

Right now, there are eight islands in Roblox One Block. They don’t have any names, but you can differentiate them by their appearance and size.

The four islands closer to your base are smaller in size and have no NPCs. These are the islands that you want to travel to first. You’ll find treasure chests on these islands that will mostly have Iron or Gold tools/weapons and other valuable items like Bandages or Medkits. You can also chop down trees on these islands to get oak, cherry, birch, and acacia blocks.

Once you’ve swept these islands, you will have enough money and resources to visit the four big islands. They’re located at double the distance and have aggressive NPCs, animals, and more treasure chests for you to loot. It’s best to raid these islands with a party so you can defeat the aggressive NPCs and easily gather resources.

That concludes our Roblox One Block beginner's guide. This will set you up for easy survival and exploration in the game. For more similar guides and to get the latest codes, check out our Roblox section.
