Complete Roblox Paradox Soul Reaper Progression Guide

Soul Reapers are the best-designed race in Paradox so far and also the most complex one to level. However, if you have a checklist of things to do, the grind can be much easier. So, to help you out on your Shinigami journey, here is our complete Soul Reaper progression guide for the Paradox Roblox experience.

Paradox Soul Reaper Progression Summary (TL;DR)

1. 0-75 Potential: Do missions until you reach 75 Potential.

IMPORTANT: You can only gain Potential by completing missions!

2. Shinigami Exam: Visit the Professor at the Soul Society to complete the Soul Reaper exam (answers are below) and breakthrough.

3. 75-200 Potential: Keep doing missions. Fight Kisuke NPC in Karakura Town to breakthrough at 125 Potential.

4. Shikai Obtainment: After you reach 200 Potential, meditate by clicking N (PC) or DPadLeft (console).

1st Shikai Quest: Click numbers in the order they appear on the screen (1-2-3-4).

2nd Shikai Quest: Click numbers as the falling circles go over them (like in Guitar Hero).

3rd Shikai Quest: Defeat your Shikai Spirit to unlock your Shikai.

5. 200-705 Potential: Keep grinding missions. Fight Kisuke NPC at 250, 375, 500, and 625 Potential to breakthrough.

(OPTIONAL) Unlock Vizard at 500 Potential:

1. Reach 500 Potential and talk to Jamaster NPC in the Soul Society.

2. Complete an Eternal Flame Trial to get a Mask Remnant and deliver it to Jamaster.

3. Talk to Jamaster NPC again. He'll tell you to get 50 Shinigami Kills and 20 Ranked Wins.
4. Talk to Jamaster NPC once more and complete the Vizard Trials (details are in the guide below).

5. (OPTIONAL) Collect 5 Shattered Hogyokus and deliver them to Ender NPC in Karakura Town to get Vizard Grab (exclusive skill).

6. Bankai Obtainment:

1st Bankai Quest: Get gripped 5 times by players (not NPCs) that are either Quincy or Hollow.

2nd Bankai Quest: Talk to Kisuke NPC at Karakura Town and challenge him to a battle.

3rd Bankai Quest: Go to Soul Society and talk to the Bankai Spirit NPC to start the Bankai Trials (solutions for each trial are in the guide below).

How to Complete the Soul Reaper Exam in Roblox Paradox

The first step of the Shinigami progression in the Paradox Roblox experience is to complete the Soul Reaper exam. The prerequisite to enter the exam is to have 75 Potential. The only way to earn Potential in Paradox is to do missions. To start a mission, press "," (comma) on your keyboard to see the NPC UI overlay and find the Missions portal. Interact with the portal and select Teleport to queue for a mission.

Once you've cleared enough missions and reached 75 Potential, go to the Professor NPC inside Soul Society (the default spawn area for Shinigami). The Professor is inside the Soul Reaper Academy, in the classroom on the far left end of the hallway. After you find the Professor, interact with him to start the Soul Reaper exam. The answers to the Shinigami exam questions are below.

How to Check Your Potential?

As you do missions, your Potential will increase. To see your current Potential, either go back to the slot selection menu or talk with the Julian NPC in Karakura Town. To teleport to Karakura Town (KT), press "~" on your keyboard to open your inventory, equip the Gate ability by dragging it onto the hotbar, and then use it. You'll need to pull out your weapon (E) first to use your abilities.

How to Unlock Shikai as a Soul Reaper in Roblox Paradox

The next step in the Soul Reaper progression in Roblox Paradox is unlocking your Shikai. To do that, you'll first need to reach 200 Potential (you'll need to fight Kisuke NPC to go past the 125 Potential barrier) and then meditate (N) while inside Soul Society. This will trigger a 3-stage Shikai obtainment process, which consists of:

1. Osu!-like minigame: Click the numbers on your keyboard (1-2-3-4) in the order they appear on your screen.
2. Guitar Hero-like minigame: Click the numbers on your keyboard (1-2-3-4) as the circles that are floating downwards go over the indicators at the bottom.
3. Shikai fight: You'll have to defeat the Shikai spirit, which uses all the skills that you're about to unlock (the power that randomly rolled when your slot was created). The better your power is, the harder the Shikai fight.

After you've defeated the spirit, you'll finally unlock your Shikai. To use your Shikai, first equip your weapon (E) and then activate your Special (V). Each Shikai has 3 base moves, and you unlock more during the later stages of Shinigami progression.

Kisuke Fights & Potential Breakpoints

Kisuke NPC is located in Karakura Town, and you will need to fight him to break through the Potential breakpoints at levels 125, 250, 375, 500, and 625 and progress further as a Soul Reaper. Each time you defeat him, you'll also get a Skill Crystal (Skill Gem if you're not at a breakpoint; has a 1-hour cooldown) as a reward.

(OPTIONAL) How to Unlock Vizard as a Soul Reaper in Paradox

The next stage of the Soul Reaper progression in Roblox Paradox after unlocking Shikai is to get Vizard. Getting it is pretty tedious and also completely optional, as you don't need Vizard to get your Bankai. We listed the Vizard's benefits below, so if you don't think you need them, just skip to the Bankai unlock part.

Anyway, the first requirement to get Vizard is 500 Potential, which you can once again get only by doing missions. After you've reached 500+ Potential, talk to the Jamaster NPC in Soul Society to start the 3-stage Vizard obtainment process, which consists of:

1. Acquire a Mask Remnant: Talk to the Jamaster NPC and then complete an Eternal Flame run to get the Mask Remnant. Talk to him again to start the next quest.
2. Get 50 Shinigami kills and 20 Ranked Wins: You'll just need to spam ranked to try and get wins and kills. You can farm grips on friends who also play Soul Reapers.
3. Pass the Vizard Trials: Talk to the Jamaster NPC again to teleport to the Vizard Trial area. Your mission is to press different-colored buttons spread around the map in a certain order. Here is how to solve the Vizard Trial:
   • Find a button on the ground and click it. If you hear a laugh, that is the incorrect button, and the buttons will rescatter around the map. If it is the correct one, you'll hear nothing, and you must remember the button color and order and continue to find the next buttons.
     • Example:
       • You find a red button, you click it, and there is no sound. You now know that the button number one is red.
       • Next, you find a blue button, you click it, and you hear a laugh. You now know that button number two isn't blue.
       • Now you need to click the red button again and then try a button that's not blue.
       • Repeat until you discover the whole color sequence.
   • Continue finding the buttons and clicking them in the established order until you complete the trial.
     • Important: The button order stays the same as long as you don't leave the server.

After you've completed the last trial, you will finally unlock Vizard. Then you can also unlock an exclusive Vizard Grab skill by turning in 5 Shattered Hogyokus with the Ender NPC at Karakura Town. Vizard Grab is a block-bypassing move, so having it is pretty neat. You can farm the Shattered Hogyokus by doing bosses, raids, ranked, etc.

Vizard Effects & Variants Explained

Once you obtain Vizard, you'll gain the Vizard/Bankai Bar. You fill the bar as you receive and deal damage in combat, and once it's full, you can activate your Vizard, gaining +20% Damage while it's active and regenerating 20% of your max HP and Reiatsu immediately. Another thing Vizard activation does is give you a mask based on your variant. This mask is purely cosmetic, and you can reroll it with a Vizard Variant Reroll.

How to Unlock Bankai as a Soul Reaper in Roblox Paradox

The last part of the Soul Reaper progression in Roblox Paradox is to unlock your Bankai. For that, you'll need to continue doing missions and reach 705 Potential, which is the maximum, and then complete a 3-step Bankai obtainment process which consists of:

1. Get gripped 5 times: You need to get gripped 5 times by players (not NPCs) that are either Quincy or Hollow. It's easy to farm this with a friend.
2. Defeat Kisuke NPC: Once you've completed the first step, talk to Kisuke NPC at Karakura Town and challenge him to a battle. After you defeat Kisuke, you'll be able to confront your Bankai Spirit and talk to it.
3. Beat the Bankai Trials: Go to Soul Society and talk to the Bankai Spirit NPC to start the Bankai Trials. You'll be teleported to a room with multiple doors. Each door leads to a different trial. Here is a walkthrough of all Bankai Trial stages:
   • Bankai Obby: The obby trial requires you to jump from platform to platform until you reach the door at the end. If you fall to the ground, your progress resets. Use double-jump + dash to move efficiently. Also, the trial room will be moving and shaking, so you'll need to counter that with your camera movement.
   • Bankai Zanpakuto Search & Maze: The first part of this trial is to find the correct Zanpakuto in the room. You can't fail this, so just collect swords one by one until you find it. After you find the sword, you'll be teleported to a maze where you now need to find 2 swords.
   • Bankai Fight: You need to complete the previous two trials to start the fight. The Bankai Boss will have the same moves as you. Also, he will pop his Bankai at 50% HP and fully heal. It's a fairly difficult fight, and having Vizard can help you a lot.

Once you've beaten the Bankai Boss, you'll finally unlock your Bankai and have completed the whole Shinigami progression. The new Bankai moves will be available to you whenever you activate your Bankai in combat.
