Roblox The Haunt Boss Location – How to Beat the Headless Horseman

It's time to go head to head!

The Haunt event on Roblox is finally wrapping up. If you've been playing, you'll know that the statue of the Headless Horseman at the rear of the mansion has been quite the topic. From October 30, 2024, players of The Haunt have been able to challenge the event's boss. Find out how to find the Headless Horseman and how to defeat him right here!

To find the Headless Horseman for the event's boss battle, you'll need to head to the rear of the mansion and go towards the other side of his statue.

You'll see a swirling orange and black portal that you can interact with. Go ahead and do that, and you'll be transported to a new area.

Once you're there, if you look up and slightly to your right, you'll see a house with black smoke coming from it.

You need to walk up the path and get to the house to find where the Headless Horseman is.

If there's an orange barrier around the area, there's already a fight in progress and you'll need to wait your turn to fight Horatio Axbury, the boss of The Haunt.

There is a 30-second intermission for additional players to enter the circle between rounds. When the fight starts, five mannequins will rise up from the ground in the middle of the small, glowing circles.

The only way to damage Horatio Axbury is to dress up the mannequins and complete different outfits.

Each mannequin needs to be dressed with three pieces of clothing and accessories. That's three pieces total, not three of each.

You know how The Haunt's whole premise has been a dress-up competition with five categories? It's the same for the boss fight. There are five categories of clothes and five mannequins to dress up. You can only have one type of clothing on one of the mannequins at a time.

So, if you're picking up items that say they're "Cute" (seen at the bottom of your screen), you'd use those to dress up one mannequin in a cute style. The cute pieces of clothing include sweatshirts, pajama bottoms, mugs, and even a bunny hood.

There are also pieces of clothing and accessories that are marked Scary, Orange, Villain, and Creature. One category of clothing to match each of the categories from The Haunt's costume contests.

The Cute and Orange costumes are the easiest to put together, but the other three categories share a color palette and you'll need to pay more attention to your inventory at the bottom of your screen.

You can only collect one item from a chest at a time, and you can only carry one item at a time. There's lots of back and forth.

Below are some of the outfits that I helped put together in different matches so you can get a head-start when you try this yourself. It's important for players taking part in the boss fight to know that each mannequin adopts a pose for each category. These poses are detailed alongside the screenshots I've gathered.

Creature Costumes

The mannequin wearing Creature costume pieces will lean forward slightly, but not as much as the Scary mannequin does. Their hands will be around hip height, and one leg will be slightly behind the other.

Cute Costumes

The mannequin wearing a cute costume will always stand on one leg with one arm cheerfully in the air. They're the most recognizable pose, and that makes it super easy to put together each cute costume.

Villain Costumes

The Villain mannequin stands like it's got one of its "hands" in its pocket. They look a bit menacing, and will usually have a mask as part of their costume.

Orange Costumes

The mannequin wearing the Orange costume has a more neutral stance. They look like a fashion mannequin, often donning orange glasses or an orange flower crown alongside their outfit.

Scary Costumes

The Scary mannequin has the stereotypical "roar!" stance, with both arms raised and the body perched in a way that looks like they just jumped out from behind something to scare you.

Reward for the Boss Fight in The Haunt on Roblox

You only need to win once to get the reward for the event's boss fight. The reward is the "Evil Pumpkin and Friendly Skeleton," which is a floating pumpkin and skull accessory that your Roblox avatar can wear. They're supposed to act as extra "heads" - likely a play on the fact that you just beat the Headless Horseman.
