There are a total of 10 unique races in The Veil. The best one out them is the Veilborne since it provides up to a massive +30% damage and +30% speed, as well as a unique skill which will make you even more powerful during nighttime. Additionally, there are 7 different classes too, with the best one arguably being the Gladiator since it provides the most damage, which is the most important stat in this heavily PvE oriented game.

What Do the Tier Rankings Mean in Our The Veil Race Tier List?
In The Veil, we have ranked the races based on their overall usefulness, combat potential, survivability, utility, as well as how effectively their racial bonuses complement different builds and playstyles. Keep in mind that there are no F or D tier races since all of them provide at least some form of usefulness or rank above the "bad" definition which is the usual metric Below, we have provided a more detailed breakdown of every tier and what each ranking means.
| Tier | Meaning in The Veil | Races |
|---|---|---|
| S | The best Races in The Veil, offering the strongest overall advantages and excellent usefulness across combat, survivability, utility, and general gameplay. These are the top of the line choices overall and they provide powerful bonuses that can significantly enhance a build. | 1 |
| A | Excellent Races that provide strong advantages and perform very well across multiple aspects of the game. They may not be quite as powerful as the S-Tier options, but they remain more than viable choices for a wide variety of builds and playstyles. | 4 |
| B | Decent Races that provide useful bonuses and can be effective for progression and specific playstyles. They have more noticeable limitations compared to higher-tier options, but can still perform well when their abilities are used effectively. | 3 |
| C | Mid-tier Races that offer some useful benefits but are generally less effective than the higher-ranked alternatives. They can still be viable in certain situations or builds, but are usually outperformed once stronger Races become available. | 2 |

| Race | Details | Why this Tier? |
|---|---|---|
![]() Underling Rare | +25% Fire Resistance +10% Regeneration +15% Cast Damage | + One of the strongest races for magic-focused builds. + Its +15% Cast Damage is higher than Goblin's. + +25% Fire Resistance is an excellent defensive utility. + Regeneration provides additional sustain. − Doesn't have Goblin's cast cooldown reduction. − Much less attractive for non caster builds. |

What Do the Tier Rankings Mean in Our The Veil Class Tier List?
In The Veil, we have ranked the Classes based on their overall combat potential, damage, utility, and how well they mold around the most meta playstyles. However, since this is a primarily PvE-oriented game, keep in mind that raw damage is king, meaning that Classes capable of consistently dealing high amounts of damage will generally rank higher than those that rely more heavily on utility or defensive abilities. Therefore, the tier list reflects the sheer importance of damage output while still taking into account the other strengths and weaknesses of each Class. Additionally, you should treat this list as a work in progress since the game is still in its early release, meaning that not much info exists on the specific classes, not even on the game's official Discord server. Furthermore, there are no F or D classes, since every single one of them ranks at least slightly above the "weak" category in which D-tier stuff usually falls. You can find more info about every tier and what each ranking means below.
| Tier | Meaning in The Veil Classes | Classes |
|---|---|---|
| S | These top-tier classes combine massive damage output with exceptional survivability. Their powerful abilities make them the absolute best choices for builds that aim to perform the best inside The Veil. | 3 |
| A | These classes excel across multiple playstyles since they provide reliable damage and strong all-around performance. They're a highly effective choice just behind the peak S-tier meta options. | 2 |
| B | These situational options shine in specific roles or build types. They carry distinct limits on damage when compared to top picks, but effective skill management still keeps them somewhat competitive. | 1 |
| C | Mid-tier Classes that offer some useful benefits but fall behind the higher-ranked alternatives, particularly when it comes to raw damage. While they can still be useful in some gimmicky builds, they should be replaced as soon as you get the chance to do so. | 1 |
