After years of development, teasers, leaks, showcases, and increasingly desperate Discord questions, Slayers 2 finally has an official release date. Read on to learn all you need to know and be prepared ahead of the launch.
Project Slayers 2 Countdown
Ouw Productions announced that the highly anticipated Project Slayers successor will launch on Roblox on September 18, 2026, at 4 PM EST. Selected players, including content creators, will also receive early access beginning around September 11, giving us our first proper look at the finished game roughly a week before everyone else gets in. For the Roblox anime community, this is a pretty big one.
When Does Slayers 2 Release?
Slayers 2 releases September 18, 2026, at 4 PM EST.
There is one small timezone wrinkle worth mentioning. September 18 falls during daylight saving time in the US, when Eastern Time normally operates as EDT rather than EST. Ouw specifically wrote "EST," so we're sticking with the developer's stated time until the team clarifies whether it means literal EST or simply 4 PM Eastern Time.
Either way, at least we finally have an hour. Considering how many Roblox games announce a release "on Friday" and apparently expect everyone to spend 24 hours refreshing the game page, I'll take the progress.
Now, if you live in a different time zone, don't worry! I've made a table just for you, so you'll know exactly when Slayers 2 releases in your region. Check it out!

Why Slayers 2 Is Such a Big Roblox Release
The hype makes considerably more sense when you look at the original game. Project Slayers became one of Roblox's biggest anime RPGs, accumulating roughly 678 million visits, more than 1.1 million favorites, and an all-time peak of over 171,000 concurrent players.
Ouw Productions began publicly showing Project Slayers 2 back in 2024, and development has continued for more than two years since then. The team has recently begun ramping up promotion again through its official YouTube channel, showcasing more of the sequel's combat, Breathing Styles, customization, and other systems as release approaches.

Community information shared during development suggests the sequel will feature one much larger interconnected map, rather than splitting the world into separate areas like the original. Developers have also discussed expanded progression, PvP, clans, mounts, fast travel, and more meaningful Slayer ranks.
As before, players will build their own character and choose whether to fight as a Demon Slayer using Breathing Techniques or a Demon wielding Blood Demon Arts, with clans, weapons, quests, bosses, PvP, and character progression forming the core RPG loop.
We'll know considerably more once early access begins around September 11. Until then, the important part is finally settled: Slayers 2 launches September 18. No more release-date breathing techniques required.
