Updated on Febraury 10, 2026: The PGG Solo Hunters Abilities Tier List has been updated to include the latest balance changes introduced in the February 10th update. The update doesn’t introduce any major changes to powers in Solo Hunters, and as a result, Werewolf remains the most powerful Rune in the game.
Wondering what the best powers are in Solo Hunters? As a power-scaling, dungeon-crawling RPG, Solo Hunters is all about investing your time into weapons and powers to unlock their powerful skills through Mastery Trees. Since powers are both resource-intensive (using Gems to summon Runes gacha-style) and time-consuming (using powers to earn points for upgrades), you’ll want to choose carefully before committing. That’s why we’ve created the ultimate Solo Hunters Abilities Tier List.
Solo Hunters Powers Tier List - All Abilities Ranked
NOTE: This list also includes some Rune that are technically weapons, but they are summoned via Power summoing, and thus, we've included here as well. Fore more details on weapons, check out our dedicated Solo Hunter Weapons Tier List.

S+ Tier Abilities - The OP Power
By far, the best Solo Hunters' ability you can currently pull from Power summoning is the new Werewolf ability. It’s so strong that I’ve created a separate tier just for it. If you are lucky enough to pull it, make sure to play with it before the developers inevitably nerf it. Right now, it is extremly powerful and outperforms many weapons (and weapons are the meta in Solo Hunters).
| Ability | Pros & Cons |
|---|---|
![]() Werewolf | Pros: + The only true ability (not counting weapons that you pull from Runes) that has a dedicated M1 attack + All abilities have I-frames (making you invulnerable for a fraction of a second while casting an ability) + Solid AoE range + Extremely high-damage + Transformed skills (Claw Cyclone, Fang Nova Blast, Sky Reaver Slam, and Ravage Assault) are really fun to play with. |
S Tier Abilities - Best Abilities in Solo Hunters
| Abilities | Pros & Cons |
|---|---|
![]() Shadow Scythe | Pros: + Massive AoE cleave damage + Great synergy with high Strength builds + Shadow Scythe can deal debuffs on certain skills + Mastery buffs are the best across all skills in the game |

A Tier Abilities - Great But Not Meta

Solo Hunters Powers Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Shadow Scythe, Divine Blade, and Dual Daggers are currently the strongest. Shadow Scythe dominates AoE farming, while Dual Daggers is ideal for single-target melee burst.
Mythics have a 0.6% drop rate. The best way to farm Gems is from Daily Quests and dungeon grinds. You can also use codes and events for free Gems, too.
Magic is safer for early dungeons, but melee builds scale better and dominate from mid-game onwards. Transition around level 50-80.
You cannot reroll the Rune itself, but you can summon again. Extra runes don’t go to waste as they can be stored or fused depending on future updates.
