With the Forge map and island number ever expanding, it can get complicated to remember where everything is. We'll give you a detailed breakdown of all islands available in the game with their level requirements, as well as all important POIs and NPCs to look out for in the Forge.
All The Forge Island Locations, Requirements and POIs
If you're just starting off the game, or keep forgetting where that one NPC you need is, we are here to help you. Our full Forge locations guide will have you running around the game as if you've been playing it for years.
Stonewake's Cross POIs & Level Requirements
Stonewake Cross is the beginner island of the Forge, so this is the first area you will get to explore when you start the game. You spawn here, so there isn't any level requirement for you to fulfill. The main square is where you'll find all of the important locations on the island, but we will also list them here for you to check out.
Pro tip: You can click on the images to enlarge them and see the locations of all shops, NPCs and other POIs better!
| POI | Description |
|---|---|
![]() Enhancer | - The store where you can enhance your items located to the left at the start of the island. - You need to enhance both Armor and Weapons to improve their Stats as well as to unlock Rune slots on them. Keep in mind that the Enhancement can also regress your item if you are unsuccessful. Don't place any Runes on an item you plan on further enhancing, or it might get eaten when you lose a Rune Slot (totally not talking from experience). - Enhancement requires Essences, which you get from enemies throughout all three islands. |
![]() Runemaker | - The Runemaker is located across from the Enhancer. - Here you place Runes on Items to give them additional passives, like better Mining speed, Burn damage on weapons, etc. - Pickaxes don't need to be enhanced, they already come with Rune Slots, but they are also the most expensive item to place a Rune on. Be selective so that you don't waste all of your money and then can't buy a better Pickaxe. |
![]() The Forge | - Right above the Runemaker and next to the spawn building - The Forge is where you will craft all of your Armors and Weapons. On the Stonewake Cross, you will craft lower quality of both due to the ore quality, but it will be good enough to get you to the second island. - If you want to know how to craft the best items, you should check out our crafting guide. - This is where you will find the Sensei Moro NPC questline. |
![]() Maria's Potions | - Maria's shop can be located to the left of the Forge. Here you'll purchase potions that will provide time-limited boosts. - From our experience, the Luck Potion could be useful even on the early island, but it's best not to spend money on any potions in the early game. Save that money for better Pickaxes, then use the Potions on the second, and especially on the third island once you've farmed the money. |
![]() Miner Fred | - Miner Fred's shop is where you will purchase the available Pickaxes, but keep in mind that he doesn't have ALL of the Pickaxes on an island. Some can be hidden behind quests, or in different areas, which we will talk about below. - Fred's shop in Stonewake Cross has four Pickaxes which you can purchase. We suggest purchasing the Gold pickaxe last, and skipping the Platinum Pickaxe, since there is a better one to buy at a different location. |
![]() Greedy Cey | - Greedy Cey is a merchant who you can sell your items to: Ores, Essences and Runes. - You can't sell crafted Amour, Weapons, or Pickaxes to him, since those have to be sold to the Weapons Merchants. - Greedy Cey, true to his name is, well, greedy. You shouldn't be selling any of your Ores to him, as they will be worth more crafted into an item. Instead sell him your extra Runes as well as Essences. You can always grind those again later. |
![]() Marbles Weapon Shop | - Once you've crafted Weapons and Armor, you should sell it to the Marbles NPC at the Weapons shop. - Make sure to remove any Runes from items if you used them prior to being sold. - You won't be able to sell a Pickaxe if you don't have an additional Pickaxe in your inventory. |
![]() Wizard's Tower | - Wizard's Tower is located on the hill up the path to the left. - The Wizard is how you will reroll your race in the Forge. |
![]() The Cave | - Go straight from the small island and up the path until you spot it. - At the Cave, you will find Pebbles, Rocks, and Boulders to mine. The Ores on the first Island won't really be as useful in late game as the ones from the Second and Third Island, so you should just mine here until you grab a Pickaxe which can mine on the Second Island. - Delver Zombies drop Miner Shard Runes, so you'll want to farm them for your Pickaxe. Though keep in mind that not every Pickaxe needs a Rune on them, since placing it can be very expensive. We suggest putting a Rune on the Pickaxe you see yourself using the most on the Island. |
Stonewake's Cross Hidden Pickaxes
Apart from the Pickaxes in Fred's Miner shop, you can also find two additional ones at Stonewake Cross. One is the best Pickaxe you can get for the first island, while the other is the best Pickaxe you can get for the second island, so let's get into it.
Stonewake's Cross Quest NPCs
There are multiple quest NPCs at Stonewake Cross in the Forge. It's important that you complete all of the quests since they will give you lots of EXP as well as money. This is the best way to farm money early on in the game. Here's where you can find all of the NPCs and start the quests.
| NPC & Quest | Location & Description |
|---|---|
![]() Sensei Moro Sensei Moro's Mining Questline | - Standing to the right of the Forge at the square. - You will naturally complete his mining quest as you progress through the game. |
![]() Bard Lost Guitar Quest | - The Bard NPC is located in front of the fire past Maria's Potions shop. - Completing the Lost Guitar Quest will give you the Unknown Key, used to unlock the gate of the Arcane Pickaxe area. |
![]() Tomo the Explorist Lost Cat 🙁 Quest | - Tomo the Explorist is located on the hill path going towards the Wizard's Tower. - The cat quest will give you extra EXP for completing it. |
![]() Nord The Basics of Mining Quest | - Nord is located at the Cave, right at the end of the train tracks. - The Basics of Mining quest can be repeated multiple times and is a quest that can be farmed at early game, but later on its not worth it. |
![]() Umut the Brave Rotten Depths Quest | - Umut the Brave is to the left of Nord inside the Cave of Stonewake's Cross. - Just like with Nord, you can repeat his quest for farming EPX and money. |
![]() Fisher Unknown | - The Fisher is an NPC of an unknown name which can be located by following the path behind the Weapons Shop. - This NPC currently can't be interacted with, so we don't know the name or the quest it can give. We can assume it will have something to do with fishing due to the rod they are holding, but that's just guesses (and hopes) at the moment. - This same NPC can also be located on the Forgotten Kingdom and you can actually interact with it, but you still won't get a quest. |
Forgotten Kingdom POIs & Level Requirements
When it comes to the Forgotten Kingdom, you have to be level 10 if you want to access it. Once you reach the level requirement, place the Portal down from your inventory and teleport to the second island of the Forge. Once there, here's everything you need to pay attention to.
| POI | Description |
|---|---|
![]() Miner Fred | - Miner Fred's shop, located to the left immediately after spawn, offers a selection of five Pickaxes you can purchase (Another reminder that there are more to grab in the Forgotten Kingdom, just not available to shop). - The best Pickaxe you can buy here is the Mythril Pickaxe, after which you should grab the Arcane Pickaxe from W1. - If you've unlocked the second Race Slot, you can roll for Goblin (though we suggest doing this for the third slot preferably), so that you can purchase Pickaxes at a discounted price. |
![]() Weapon Shop | - The Weapon Shop with the Wo NPC this time can be found next to Fred's Shop - It works the same way as on the first island. Yes, he will scam you over purchasing back the Pickaxes, but that's something we just have to live with. |
![]() Greedy Cey | - Greedy Cey is located across from the Weapons Shop, on the corner of the street. - He is the same here as in all other Islands. Just sell him the extra Runes and Essences, but don't sell him raw Ores! |
![]() Maria's Potions | - Maria's shop can be located down the road from Cey's shop on the right side. - The only different potion you can get at Maria's shop in the Forgotten Kingdom is the Health Potion II. |
![]() The Forge | - Right past Maria's Shop. - The Forge on W2 has an expanded roster of recipes for both Amor and Weapons. Make sure to craft these, considering that they will sell for much more money. - This is also where you can start the Sensei Moro Questline for the Forgotten Kingdom island. |
![]() Quest Board | - The Quest Board is located across from the Potion's Shop. - The Quest Board is currently a work-in-progress, but should be ''Coming Soon'', if the board itself is to be trusted. |
![]() Enhancer | - The store where you can enhance your items located after the Forge. - Make sure to Enhance all of the new Weapons and Armor to get the best out of their Stats, as well as unlock extra Rune Slots |
![]() Runemaker | - The Runemaker is located across from the Enhancer. - The best Rune you can get on the Forgotten Kingdom Island is the Drain Edge. You get it from the Reapers in the Volcanic Area, so make sure to farm it ASAP and put it on your Weapons. |
![]() Ruined Cave | - Go straight from the small island and up the path until you spot it. |
![]() Volcanic Depths | - The Secret Area inside the caves. Follow the right path up and stick to the right wall until you see the Magma Pickaxe and Amber NPC. There are two Basalt Veins in a hole just before them. Mine these two so that you can pass under and reach the Volcanic Depths. - You'll find a variety of new enemies first, which are quite dangerous. The most dangerous one, the Reaper, will give you the best Rune Drain Edge. You will have to have good Weapons and Amor equipped to survive this section. - Here you can mine: Basalt Core, Basalt Veins, Volcanic Rock. The rarest ores can be grabbed from the Volcanic Rock, but the chances are pretty low. - You can find the Demonic Pickaxe in this area, but we don't recommend purchasing it. Go for the Arcane Pickaxe instead for similar stats, then once you're on W2, you can switch to the Aqua Pickaxe. |
![]() Goblin Kingdom | Instead of going up the path to the cave, keep going down the path instead until you see two Goblins guarding an area. If you are a Zombie, you won't be let inside, but any other race can go in, - Talk to the Goblin King to start his five quests where you have to give him a bunch of money and some specific Ores. This will take a while and we suggest prioritizing purchasing the best Pickaxes first before you waste money on unlocking the Goblin Cave Section. - You can mine various Crystal ores inside the Golbin Cave, but their spawn rate is not that great so it can get annoying to wait around. - You can also find Tomo's cat here for the quest from W1. |
![]() Wizard's Tower | - Go up the path to the right of Greedy Cey, pass Line, and you'll see the Wizard's Tower. - Another NPC Aida is there apart from the Wizard, but she doesn't give you a quest, only talks about game lore (quite extensively). |
Forgotten Kingdom Hidden Pickaxes
Just like with Stonewake's Cross, Forgotten Kingdom also has two additional Pickaxes which you can pick up outside of Fred's shop. You can grab the Demonic Pickaxe, but we still suggest skipping it in favor of a better one on W3.
Forgotten Kingdom Quest NPCs
There are plenty of quests you can complete at the Forgotten Kingdom to gain more EXP and money, so here's a breakdown on where to find them all.
Frostspire Expanse POIs & Level Requirements
If you want to reach the winter wonderland that is the Frostpire Expanse, you first have to be level 70+. If you are, then you can access the third world of the Forge through the Portal. Here's all of the locations on W3 that you need to pay attention to.
| POI | Description |
|---|---|
![]() Maria's Potions | - Maria's shop is the first one on the left once you go from the docks. - No difference here compared to her Shop at the Forgotten Kingdom. |
![]() Greedy Cey | - Greedy Cey is found diagonally across from Maria's Shop. - All tips about him apply here too just like in previous islands. |
![]() Miner Fred | - Miner Fred's shop is located right after Maria's Shop on the left side. He has six Pickaxes which you can purchase. - However, keep in mind that some of the Pickaxes here (like the Mist Pickaxe and above), require specific Sensei Moro quests to be completed before you can purchase them. |
![]() Runemaker | - The Runemaker is right after Fred's Shop. - The best Rune you can get on the Frostspire Expanse Island is the Frost Speck, which can stun enemies. |
![]() Enhancer | - The Enhancer is right after the Runemaker with no changes from the previous island. |
![]() The Forge | - The Forge is next to the Enhancer. - On W3, there will be missing recipes which you can acquire either through a limited time Santa event, or through other, as of yet, unknown means. - You can start another Sensei Moro questline here. |
![]() Weapon Shop | - The Weapon Shop with the Wo NPC is across the road from the Forge. - Works the same as in the other islands. |
![]() Wizard's Tower | - Go down the path between the Forge and the Weapons shop to reach the Wizard Tower. - Works the same as in the other islands. |
![]() The Door Behind the Forge | - If you go around the Forge, you will notice what looks to be a big door in the wall. However, it is closed at the moment, and we don't know yet what it will serve for. - We can assume it will be a new secret area which you unlock with quests just like with the Goblin Cave. |
![]() Spider Cave | - The first of the two sets of caves on the island. This one has ores you can mine easier, and also lower difficulty enemies. - You can mine Icy Pebbles, Icy Rocks, and Icy Boulders here. Make sure to grab the Mist Pickaxe if you want to even think about mining those Boulders. - This area is actually great for mining Ores with the best defensive Traits. |
![]() The Peak | - The Peak is the current endgame content inside the Forge. - Here you will find the toughest enemies including the Golem Boss which you will need to defeat for the final Bjorn quest. - At the Peak you will mine SmallIce Crystals, Medium Ice Crystals, Large Ice Crystals, as well as Floating Ice Crystals. You'll need at least a minimum of a Void Pickaxe for all of these. |
![]() The Point of No Return | - When you pass Bjorn, you will reach a small dock and see a suspicious looking island across the sea. Luckily you can swim easily over there. - You will see a sign that says ''Point of No Return''. If you jump into the water behind it, you will reach a new underground section. However, this section might be something more that will be added in the part 2 of the update, since right now it either teleports you back to the mainland, or kicks you out of the experience. |
Frostspire Expanse Hidden Pickaxes
There is currently only one hidden Pickaxe which you can acquire outside of Fred's Shop, and it is the best Pickaxe in the game. There are speculations that the Angel Pickaxe will be added to the game in a second part of the Frostspire Expanse, but we will tell you more about it as soon as there is any information.
Frostspire Expanse Quest NPCs
There are a few NPCs which can give you quests on the island, but also keep in mind that their quests are very much endgame. You will need to grind hard and farm money if you want to complete all of these. Keep in mind that we might get new quests and additional content in a future update, since the developers did mention that this update is only part one.
These are all the currently available locations, POIs and NPCs which you can interact with in the Forge. We will keep this article updated as soon as new areas are added to the game.
