With dozens upon dozens of crafting results you can get from forging weapons with different combinations of ores in The Forge, it can really feel overwhelming when you try to figure out which weapons are the best in the game. From daggers to colossal swords, the choices are many, but resources are scarce. Are all weapons viable, or are there clear meta winners? Read our Roblox The Forge Weapon Tier List to find out.
Ultimate Roblox The Forge Weapons Tier List
Before we jump to our tier list, keep in mind that the game has just launched in early beta and is far from a finished product. Many weapons currently feel like placeholders, while many within the same class of weapons are just aesthetically different but functionally the same. This is especially true for the Dagger class, where most of the weapons share the same stats, and the only difference is in how they look and their combat animations.
With that in mind, we expect many design changes and reworks in the coming months that will make these weapons stand out from one another and offer a more unique playstyle. For now, there's no sense in evaluating some of these weapons separately, as they are, in practical gameplay terms, the same thing.
In general, weapons in the game are currently very basic, with the only real differentiators being attack speed, range, and base damage. And within most categories, these are only slightly different or even the same, making it more of a personal visual and style choice rather than some special meta pick. We believe that the developers will rework these weapons later, but for now, it mostly comes down to small DPS differences and your personal playstyle.
Important Note: Stats of weapons in The Forge are not fixed. Rather, they depend on their crafting quality, which is tied to how well you complete the forging mini-games. In addition, runes play a great role in defining the power of a weapon in the game. You should keep that in mind.
The Forge Weapons S Tier
| Weapon Name | Stats | Pros & Cons | Forging Chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hook (Dagger) | Base DMG: 5 ATK Speed: 0.32s Range: 6 Studs | The fastest weapon in the game, it will make you a true agility monster when paired with Drain Edge and Rage Mark. | 1/16 |
| Hammer (Colossal) | Base DMG: 22 ATK Speed: 1.24 Range: 10 Studs | It packs a lot of damage, and it offers a great balance between raw damage and attack speed. | 1/2 |
| Relevator (Gauntlet) | Base DMG: 9.6 ATK Speed: 0.69 Range: 6 Studs | They are a bit slow compared to other Gauntlets, but the damage output makes up for it. | 1/16 |
| Scythe (Great Axe) | Base DMG: 14.25 ATK Speed: 0.95s Range: 9 Studs | Not only does it look awesome, but it also has great damage output and AoE attack. | 1/2 |
| Chaos | Base DMG: 9.75 ATK Speed: 0.5s Range: 9.75 Studs | Probably the best weapon in the game, but insanely hard to obtain. | 1/64 |
The Forge Weapons A Tier
| Weapon Name | Stats | Pros & Cons | Forging Chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dagger Gladius Falchion Knife | Base DMG: 5 ATK Speed: 0.35s Range: 6 Studs | These three are essentially the same weapon. And while not as good as the Hook, they are still some of the fastest weapons in the game, excellent with many runes with on-hit passives. | 1/1 1/2 1/4 |
| Falchion Sword Gladius Sword Cutlass Rapier | Base DMG: 7.5 ATK Speed: 0.59s Range: 8 Studs | Again, the only difference here is in the aesthetics and animations. These are by far the best mid-game swords, offering a balance between solid damage and decent attack speed. You can never go wrong if you pick any of them. | 1/1 1/2 1/4 1/8 |
| Double Battle Axe | Base DMG: 15.75 ATK Speed: 1.05s Range: 9 Studs | Not as good as the Scythe in the Great Axes category, but still a powerful late-game crowd-control tool with massive AoE damage. It works perfectly with runes like Drain Edge, Flaming Spark, and Venom Crumb. | 1/1 |
| Skull Crusher | Base DMG: 24 ATK Speed: 1.4s Range: 10 Studs | A very powerful single-target weapon, perfect against heavily armored enemies. A bit slower compared to the Great Sword and the Hammer, but it offers more damage per hit. | 1/4 |
| Dragon Slayer | Base DMG: 22 ATK Speed: 1.2s Range: 10 Studs | Faster than the Skull Crusher, but doesn't have as much damage as it. | 1/3 |
B Tier
| Weapon Name | Stats | Pros & Cons | Forging Chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crusader Sword | Base DMG: 12 ATK Speed: 1s Range: 9 Studs | Probably the best mid-game weapon in terms of your chances to get it, as well as the overall balance. Solid damage, decent attack speed, and excellent range make this sword very versatile in all situations. | 1/1 |
| Boxing Gloves | Base DMG: 8 ATK Speed: 0.59s Range: 6 Studs | Less damage compared to the Relevator, but with faster attacks, making them a solid base for on-hit runes. | 1/4 |
| Tachi Katana | Base DMG: 8.925 ATK Speed: 0.6s Range: 9 Studs | It can work great in the mid-game, but it's kind of stuck between daggers and straight swords in terms of what niche it fills. | 1/2 |
| Uchigatana Katana | Base DMG: 8.5 ATK Speed: 0.63s Range: 9 Studs | Same as the Tachi. Stylistically very pleasing to the eye, but there are better choices at this point in the game. | 1/1 |
C Tier
| Weapon Name | Stats | Pros & Cons | Forging Chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Comically Large Spoon | Base DMG: 18 ATK Speed: 1.2 Range: 10 Studs | It's fun to look at, and it's not really bad, but the Dragon Slayer and the Skull Crusher are simply better. | 1/16 |
| Great Sword | Base DMG: 20 ATK Speed: 1.2s Range: 10 Studs | The basic version of Colossal Swords, but it still has more damage than the Comically Large Spoon. If you don't mind the simple look, it's still a better pick. | 1/1 |
D Tier
| Weapon Name | Stats | Pros & Cons | Forging Chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ironhand | Base DMG: 7.6 ATK Speed: 0.5 Range: 6 Studs | The weakest pair of gauntlets in the game, not really recommended for any stage of the game. | 1/1 |
| Long Sword | Base DMG: 12 ATK Speed: 1.1s Range: 9 Studs | Slightly slower than the other, more common Great Sword. There’s really no reason to go with this one. | 1/2 |
And with that, our The Forge Weapon Tier List is complete. As you can see, there aren't really that many differences between these weapons, and the real power lies in The Forge's runes, as they add various passive effects that can be devastating with the right weapon. They will probably be reworked down the line, but we think it's because they are mostly there for cosmetic reasons, not for gameplay.

No, because the main gameplay loop is about mining and forging weapons. You can only sell gear you don't need, but you can't buy anything at this point.
