How to Catch Animals in Raise Animals
You have to play a mini-game to catch animals in Raise Animals. For that, you’ll need a lasso. On the main screen, click on the Lasso button found on the right side of your screen and equip the Lasso that you want to use. After that, click on the Play button, right next to the Lasso button, to start the rodeo mini-game.

The first time you play the mini-game, you’ll get a random Basic animal to start with. Once you’ve caught a few, you can choose which animals you want to start the game with.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when playing the rodeo mini-game and trying to catch new animals:
- Avoid hitting obstacles like trees and rocks. These will kill you and end the mini-game. Hitting other animals 2-3 times will also get you killed.
- To catch an animal, you need to jump on it and ride it until the heart circle fills, and you win the animal’s trust. If you die or jump off before that, you won’t catch the animal.
- There are four different biomes with different types of animals. Jungle and Savannah are unlocked by default, and Tundra and Ocean need to be unlocked using money. You can check the Index to learn about all the animals in Raise Animals and in which biome they will spawn.

How to Get Duplicate Animals in Raise Animals
You can get duplicate animals in Raise Animals by catching them in the rodeo mini-game or buying them from the Animal Shop. Here’s how it works:
- Duplicates for Halloween Special animals like Gargoyle, Bat, and Jack-O-Lantern can be caught and tamed multiple times by playing the rodeo mini-game.
- Duplicates of other animals, from Basic to Rainbow rarity, can be purchased from the Animal Shop for money. Only the animals that you have caught already can be purchased from the Shop.
How to Get the Golden Lion in Raise Animals
A Golden Lion is the Shine version of the Lion. It’s one of the best animals in the game, with $81,000 Base Value and $12,500 / 60s earning rate. However, catching this animal is a little difficult. Here’s what you have to do to get the Golden Lion in Raise Animals:
- Catch a Lion and start a new run with it.
- During a single run, eat three Lions.
- A Golden Lion will spawn soon after you eat the third lion.
- Catch and tame the Golden Lion.
How to Get the Headless Horse in Raise Animals
The Headless Horse is a Halloween Special animal of the Shine rarity. It has a Base Value of $151,875 and earns $30,000 / 60s. You can catch it from the rodeo mini-game if the Pumpkin Fall event spawns during your run. There is a 20% chance that the Headless Horse will spawn during the Pumpkin Fall event.
Once the Headless Horse spawns, you have to catch and tame it just like the other animals.
How to Get the Whale Shark in Raise Animals?
The Whale Shark is a Shine animal in Raise Animals that has a Base Value of $101,250 and can earn up to $15,500 / 60s. It also adds 8x Seaweed to your inventory every 10 minutes. The Whale Shark is worth having for that Seaweed passive alone. Here’s how to catch one:
- Ride all Ocean Animals during a single run. These include Fish, Jellyfish, Seal, Turtle, Crab, Shark, and Orca.
- After riding all these animals during a single run, the Whale Shark will spawn. Tame it to add it to your collection.
How to Increase Animal Size in Raise Animals
If you want to get giant animals on your farm, you just have to feed them regularly. The more you feed them, the bigger they’ll get. Feeding them regularly will also increase their EXP earning rate, which will level them up faster (age). That will also increase their size, earning rate, and overall value.
Here’s how to feed animals and increase their size:
- Buy food from the Food Shop. Click on the Buy button and interact with the Food Shop to see all the food in stock. The Food Shop restocks every 5 minutes.
- Go back to your farm, equip the food, and feed it to the animal you want.
- Instead of feeding animals one item at a time, click on the two arrows on the right side of your screen to open the Active Pets menu and use the Feed or Full Feed button to feed your animals quickly.
- You can also unlock the Auto Feed system for $25,000,000 or 299 Robux. You’ll only have to buy the food. The animals will get fed automatically.
The animals do have a size ceiling, though, and won’t grow after they reach a certain size.
How to Earn Rubies in Raise Animals
Rubies are the premium currency of Raise Animals needed to roll at the Lasso Gacha. Here are all the ways you can get Rubies in Raise Animals:
- Redeem the latest Raise Animals Codes. You’ll get Rubies, Cash, and other freebies.
- Spin the Daily Spin Wheel. Every 24 hours, you get a free spin on the wheel next to the Animal Sell Shop. You can win rewards like Rubies, Money, Food, and Animals.
- Complete Daily Quests. In the menu on the left side of your screen, you’ll see a Quest button. Tap on it to see your daily quests and complete them to earn Rubies.

Roblox Raise Animals Trading Guide
With Update 2.5, the developers added the Trading feature to Raise Animals. Players within the same server can trade Animals and Lassos with each other. However, you must have 5 hours of game time in Raise Animals to be able to use the Trade feature.
Once you have the Trade feature unlocked, here is how you can trade Animals or Lassos with other players:
- Click on the Trade button in the menu on the left side of your screen.
- You’ll see a list of all players in your server. Click on the dual arrow button next to the player’s name to send a Trade Request.
- If the trade request gets accepted, make your offer, and also check what the other player is offering in exchange. Both players can choose to accept or reject the trade.
- If accepted by both players, the items will be exchanged and added to each player’s inventory.
This system is completely safe, unlike the Gift Scamming that was happening in the game before the Trading update dropped. You can also create private servers to trade with other players if you can’t join the same public server.
If you don’t want to receive Trade requests, you can disable the options by going into Settings and scrolling all the way down to the redeem code section.
