While playing Pet Simulator 99, you'll inevitably come across an item called a Shiny Relic. If you're as puzzled as I was about these unusual collectibles, then read on below to learn what Shiny Relics do in Pet Simulator 99.
What are Shiny Relics in Pet Simulator 99?
Shiny Relics are small trophies scattered around the world of Pet Simulator 99. They are gold in color and shaped like paws, with a faint sparkling effect. There are 50 Shiny Relics to be found; some are in plain sight, while others are hidden behind objects or even in minigames.
For every five Shiny Relics you collect, your odds of hatching a Shiny pet will permanently increase. The exact percent chance is currently unknown; however, the boost is permanent, even after Rebirthing in Pet Simulator 99.
Tracking down all 50 Shiny Relics can be tedious, especially if you haven't unlocked the Castle or completed the first 50 zones. The increased Shiny odds are a worthwhile reward, though, particularly for players looking to hatch the rarest pets. Collecting Shiny Relics costs you nothing and can be a fun activity while you grind for the next area. For this reason, I highly recommend looking for all the Shiny Relics in the game.
How to find Shiny Relics in Pet Simulator 99
In order to find all 50 Shiny Relics, you will need to complete the following steps:
- Unlock any Hoverboard.
- Unlock areas 1-50.
- Unlock the Trading Plaza, found in the Castle.
- Beat the Jungle Obby minigame.
Shiny Relics are found in all areas of Pet Simulator 99, so you'll have to look in odd places like minigame maps and the Trading Plaza. Some areas won't have any Shiny Relics, while others can have up to three. To pick up a Shiny Relic, simply walk up to it and click on it; you'll need a Hoverboard to reach certain relics that are high off the ground.
Once you pick up a Shiny Relic, a message will appear on your screen informing you of how many you've collected. For every fifth relic you collect, a different message will appear to confirm your increased Shiny odds. Unfortunately, collecting all 50 Shiny Relics has no special reward beyond these increased chances.
