Roblox has been around for many years, and has gone through a multitude of brand/aesthetic refreshes since its debut all that time ago in 2006. Though its color scheme, logo, font, and more have changed, its infamous tagline has stayed the same...mostly.
What is Roblox's slogan?
From 2006 to 2015, Roblox's slogan was simply "You Make the Game," which worked in both a literal way (saying you, the developer, are creating the experiences on Roblox), and a metaphorical way (saying you, the Roblox community member, make Roblox what it is; you make it great). At the time, this tagline was pretty beloved by the Roblox community, as it highlighted just how much the platform relied on, and appreciated, its audience.
In Dec. 2015, Roblox's founder and CEO David Baszucki posted an announcement on X (previously Twitter) that stated the Roblox tagline had been changed, and would now be listed as "Powering Imagination" on all current and future Roblox branding. This change was met with mixed reception upon its debut, but clearly it's here to stay. As of the time of this article's publication, and despite multiple brand refreshes, this tagline has been around for eight years and doesn't appear to be going anywhere anytime soon.
