Based on the manga of the same name that was created by Kira Toriyama (creator of Dragon Ball), Sand Land was officially announced at Summer Game Fest 2023, alongside games like Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. What is Sand Land?

Sand Land will be an action RPG set in a fantasy desert biome. The story within Sand Land is one of a future dystopia that is facing the consequences of ecological overshooting. This makes water supremely in demand, resulting in intense battles for resources. Try and act as the hero in this nearly hopeless world!

What is the release date for Sand Land?

Currently, there is no known release date for Sand Land. Bandai Namco, nor anyone else involved, have released any dates for the release of the game. We don't know when the game will come out. However, we speculate that it may release sometime in 2023 or 2024 due to the release of the trailer in June 2023, but we can't be certain until more information is released.

What platforms will Sand Land be on?

Sand Land will be on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. No further platforms have been announced for Sand Land, but this could change if the developers choose to. Still, we only have the official announcements for the time being.

Did Sand Land come from a manga?

Sand Land is based on a manga of the same name. The manga, created by Akira Toriyama (who also made Dragon Ball) ran from May 2000 to August 2000. It follows the same story shown in the gameplay trailer—one of a protagonist fighting greed and trying to save humanity. An anime film, which also based on the manga, will release in August 2023 from Bandai Namco.
