If you want to know which Gundam is worth investing in the most, this SD Gundam G Generation Eternal tier list will help you out.
SD Gundam G Generation Eternal - All Gundams Ranked

There are a lot of Gundams that you can collect and use in SD Gundam. Whether you are a fan of the show or new to the game, you'll find a mecha that is suited to your needs. However, not all Gundams are built equally in G Generation Eternal.
Like in a lot of gacha games, some units work differently due to stat balancing and abilities. After trying out the units, all Gundams in this tier list are based on their combat prowess, entire kit and if they can work well in teams.
Tier | Gundam |
---|---|
S | Gundam Exia, Sazabi, Freedom Gundam |
A | Gundam Aerial, Phoenix Gundam, Nu Gundam, Le Cygne, Crossbone Gundam X1 Custom |
B | Unicorn Gundam, Gundam, Gundam Barbatos 6th Form |
C | Striker Custom, Gundam Ez8 |
D | Psycho Gundam, Narrative Gundam A-Packs, Gundam Aquarias, Pale Rider |
Overpowered (S Tier)
If you're looking for overpowered Gundams, S-tier is where you should look. These Gundams are not only strong but also require less investment than others. All of them usually have good terrain compatibility along with having more range than other units, allowing them to stay at a safe distance.
Gundam | Pros & Cons |
---|---|
Gundam Exia | + It can deploy in any terrain, which makes it a reliable Gundam for most maps (except sea). + Exia has some of the highest weapon power and HP, making it a strong contender for the top spot in the game. |
Sazabi | + Long-range attacks keep it at a safe distance, which covers up for the fact that it has low HP. + Sazabi has high weapon power, which makes sure that you deal tons of damage with your abilities and attacks. |
Freedom Gundam | + The debuff is always a confirmed hit, which makes it a reliable and consistent attack. + It has superb terrain compatibility, allowing it to move anywhere without issues. This makes it one of the best Gundams to use on any map. |
Extremely Powerful (A Tier)
The Gundams in this tier are extremely powerful. Once upgraded, they will carry most of the rounds without any issue. Units like the Phoenix Gundam - if piloted by Mark Guilder - gain additional strength and can provide utility to their team. These units also have good stats but are left out of S-tier due to having small flaws.
Gundam | Pros & Cons |
---|---|
Gundam Aerial | + Strong support that provides solid debuffs and buffs to the enemy and allies, respectively. + One of the best terrain compatibility Gundams in the game. It can deploy on any map without any issues. |
Phoenix Gundam | + It can safely apply debuffs from a safe distance. + Heals the team by 5% each turn, which offers more sustainability to your entire team in long battles. |
Nu Gundam | + Can spam debuffs from a safe distance without worrying about running into the enemy or running out of EP. + Long-range attacks and skills make it extremely safe to use this Gundam. |
Le Cygne | + Low EP costs allow the Gundam to spam debuffs without worrying about running out. + Le Cygne has a good debuff that reduces enemies' defense. It can be used from a distance, making it safe for the Gundam to move around. |
Crossbones Gundam X1 Custom | + Crossbones relies heavily on landing crits as it buffs its Crit rate instead of raw damage or weapon power. + You can deploy it in most maps due to its good terrain compatibility (it only has average compatibility in underwater maps). |
Can Be Useful With Upgrades (B Tier)
These Gundams are viable, but there are better options in the above tiers. If you do not have any other choice, going for B-tier Gundams will do the trick, but you'll have to invest in them. If they get a buff or the meta changes, they might go up a tier.
Gundam | Pros & Cons |
---|---|
Unicorn Gundam | + Good damage after you upgrade it a few times. + High Crit rate allows for more damage, especially on stronger enemies. - It has terrain issues that force it to either get attacked first or arrive in the battle late. |
Gundam | + Provides powerful debuffs that lower the attack and mobility of enemies. This makes it easy to attack them while they deal less damage. + Low EP cost allows you to use your abilities again without having to wait until it restores. - Not being able to self-heal is a bit of a drawback, as this is a defender who will take damage for its team. |
Gundam Barbatos 6th Form | + High damage due to good stats makes it a solid pick for a strong attacker. + It has a good Crit chance as well, which lets you deal more damage consistently. - Barbatos doesn't have good EP skills, which forces it to rely on its attack rather than its abilities. |
Only Good in Early Game (C Tier)
C-tier Gundams are good in the early game but fall off quickly. There are many better options available than the ones mentioned here. These units have drawbacks that outshine the positives.
Gundam | Pros & Cons |
---|---|
Striker Custom | + It has good physical reduction, which makes it useful against melee enemies. - Low Crit rate makes it harder to fight stronger enemies since you are forced to take a counterattack after your turn. - Less range when put against most Gundams. |
Gundam Ez8 | + Strong buffs that boost attack and weapon power to land powerful hits. - Bad terrain compatibility makes it difficult to get into good positions during a fight. Cannot be deployed in the air or sea. - Low range compared to other Gundams forces it to go into melee range to attack, leaving it vulnerable. |
Not Worth Investing (D Tier)
Gundams found in this tier are to be avoided at all costs. They do not give good stats and will lose you most of the rounds, regardless of difficulty. Gundams here have major downsides and not enough positives to be in the higher tiers. Even if you upgrade most of these units, they will not provide the team with any useful utility. Any unit not mentioned automatically falls in this tier, as they have similar flaws.
Gundam | Pros & Cons |
---|---|
Psycho Gundam MK-III | - High DEF, but that doesn't matter due to low HP. - It can be problematic to move around the area. |
Narrative Gundam A-Packs | - Terrible terrain compatibility forces you to move slowly and makes traversal impossible around the battlefield - The only useful debuff costs a lot of EP, which means that you cannot use it reliably. |
Gundam Aquarias | - Not viable as you progress through the game - Only useful with certain teams and in specific situations |
Pale Rider | - Does not scale well into the late game due to low stats - Low damage unless upgraded a lot |
