All Party Members & Playable Characters in Sea of Stars

At the beginning of Sea of Stars, you'll get to choose between Zale and Valere as your main characters for the story. However, you'll meet plenty of eccentric characters along the way and even have some join your party as playable characters in battles and as you adventure different areas. Each character is truly unique with personality and fighting tactics. Take a look at all the characters you will be able to add to your party below!

Warning: BIG spoilers ahead. I recommend you enjoy the game and its surprises for the most part but if you're here, then I really can't stop you.

All Playable Characters in Sea of Stars

There are six main playable characters you will meet throughout the story. While Zale and Valere are your main controlled characters, you may get to control some of these characters as well occasionally during specific parts of the story. During battles, you will have access to all characters currently in your party and swap them out as you like. You can open your Inventory menu with Y at any time to see all the characters you have available. Characters held in your Cargo slot are unfortunately not playable at all; you will just have access to them at key moments or campsites.

You will unlock access to each character below as you progress through the story. Take a look at the list of all playable characters here:

  • Available after the Town of Lucent
• Resh'an - Immortal Alchemist

• B'st - Living Glass Golem
  • Available after Lost Ones Hamlet

Each character can provide you with useful skills in battle and create amazing combos with your other team members. Swap them in and out from battle to give them all a try, and don't forget to equip them with the proper gear to boost their stats as well.
