Servant of the Lake is a single-player point-and-click puzzle adventure from Rusty Lake, the studio behind the Cube Escape series, The Past Within, and Underground Blossom. Released on August 2026, the game takes players back to the wonderfully unsettling Vanderboom estate, where a seemingly ordinary housekeeping job quickly becomes anything but ordinary.
Playing as the Vanderboom family’s new servant, you’ll explore the house, complete daily chores, solve increasingly surreal puzzles, and help your employers with experiments that probably aren’t covered in any standard housekeeping contract. The story takes place decades before the events of Rusty Lake: Roots, expanding the Vanderboom family history and filling in another strange piece of the wider Rusty Lake timeline.
