All Dialogue options and their outcomes in Sifu

Let's talk about it.

At first, dialogue options in Sifu may seem like they have no effect on your overall gameplay. While they do not have any sway over the main plot of the game, you will find they are useful in certain situations.

The Squats

First Shrine Room

You'll find two enemies with skull-face tattoos in here with the option between Wrong turn and Workout dialogue options.

  • Choosing Workout—The enemies will instantly begin attacking you.
  • Choosing Wrong Turn—Brings the enemy on the right side closer to you, positioning him for an easier starting attack to begin the fight.

Hanging Plant Room

This dialogue choice will have no effect on the outcome of this situation. No matter which option you press, the sumo will advance toward you and the fight will begin shortly after.

The Club

Front Desk Guy

This dialogue option has no effect on the outcome of this situation. No matter what you say, the front desk guy will alert the two guards nearby. However, answer with your yellow option for a piece on your detective board. Don't knock out the front desk guy during this fight—after defeating the guards, he'll relent for a follow-up option that only gives you one choice and gives you some more info for your board.

Sound Booth Guy

Choosing the red or blue option for the sound booth guy won't get you anything but a fight or silence, respectively. Choose the Computer Access option and follow it up with the answer, The Corporation. You'll net some detective board material and a USB drive that will help you get evidence in The Tower level.

Blacklight Room

When entering this room at first, it may be your initial instinct to start beating people down. However, if you stay patient, nobody in this room is a threat unless you hit first. Cross the room and you'll find a fighter guarding the door. If you haven't started a fight, you'll receive dialogue options.

  • Choosing Fight me!—You'll initiate a brawl between the guard at the door along with six other combatants.
  • Choosing I'm ready—The guard will simply allow you through the door.
  • Choosing Trials?—The guard will give you information for your detective board and allow you through.

After First Trial

Clear the room, taking care not to fight the enemy upstairs at the railing. After the fight, she'll give you some options:

  • Choosing Sean—After a brief exchange, the door will be unlocked for you.
  • Choosing Fight me!—You will enter a battle against the enemy, who is not a pushover.
  • Chossing Trials?—Again, you'll net some detective board material and gain access to the next part of the level.

Sean (Phase Two)

There is no different outcome to these options. Both will begin the next phase of the fight—answering with don't you know will delay the start of the fight with some more dialogue.

The Museum

First Mini-Boss

With this option, there isn't much difference in your choice. No matter which option you choose the fight will begin but if you choose I must see her, you can delay the start of the fight to get in a better position or grab the first attack.

The Tower

Second Daughter Mini-Boss

Much like the other mini-bosses before her, the dialogue before the fight with the CEO's Second Daughter doesn't matter much outside of advantageous positioning. If you choose my father, you'll get a few moments to prepare before the fight, which is useful here as the sides of the room are lined with weaponry.

The Sanctuary

Front Desk Attendant

If you answer the Attendant's greeting with Yang, she will give you his exact location. If you choose no, the conversation will end.

Patient

You'll find an interesting conversation with this man sitting on a bench just before your final ascent toward Yang. Pick the first two yellow options and he'll give you a cryptic description of what happens in The Sanctuary and how you and he share the same fate.

Choosing the blue or red options at any time will end the conversation.
