Even if you have a sturdy ship, like the Bombardier Padewakang, it can still get beat up when you're in the middle of a battle in Skull & Bones. Status Effects can become active as your ship takes prolonged damage, but there is always a way to fix them. Here's how!
How to fix all ship Status Effects in Skull & Bones
All effects that are active will be shown under your ship's health bar on the left side of the screen. Not all of them are bad effects. For example, if you eat some food, you will gain prolonged Stamina for a short time. This is a status effect as well. However, the bad status effects are the ones you'll want to watch out for while you're in battle and fix as soon as possible. These are those few status effects:
Status | Cause | Effect |
---|---|---|
Ablaze | From significant fire damage | Deals high damage over time |
Torn Sails | Ship sails suffer significant damage | Immobilizes the ship for a short period |
Flooded | From significant flooding damage | Deals medium damage over time, causes damage irreparable by Repair Kit, ship is slowed |
These status effects will definitely be detrimental as you're trying to fight or sail and will lead to an eventual sinking ship if left unattended. To deal with them as quickly as possible, you will want to have some Restoration Kits and Repair Kits on hand. Here's how!
How to get Restoration and Repair Kits in Skull & Bones
Repair Kits are essential to have at all times while sailing these treacherous seas. They are your main healing items, repairing your main Hull health and preventing your ship from sinking. However you'll want to have some Restoration Kits as well because they are specifically for removing all negative status effects.
There are two ways you can get some Repair and Restoration Kits: craft them at the Carpenter or buy them from a Hawker.
The Hawker sells a limited stock of Repair and Restoration Kits at about every Den around the seas. The prices vary at different times, but usually, Repair Kits will cost you around 200 Silver, and Restoration Kits around 800 Silver.
If you don't want to spend Silver every time you need to restock your kits, the better solution is to get the blueprints and craft them yourself at the Carpenter.
The Carpenter sells the basic kit blueprints for you, but you can also select the enhanced versions in the crafting menu and say track blueprint if you'd like to purchase them. Here's how to make them:
Kit | Recipe |
---|---|
Repair Kit I | Metal Salvage x1 Scavenged Wood x1 |
Restoration Kit | Scavenged Wood x2 Rusty Nail x1 Metal Salvage x1 |
Ensure you collect the materials you need for the kits to stay stocked up before venturing out on a voyage. These kits could mean the difference between life and death. Once you have them, it'll be smooth sailing no matter what comes your way!
