Best Upgrades in South Park Snow Day, Ranked

The tier list below contains all of the Upgrades in South Park Snow Day, ranked from the most useful to the ones you'd be better off avoiding. Since the Upgrade selection is randomized, you never know what Jimmy will offer you before each gate. Even if the Upgrade you choose isn't as powerful, you can still increase its rarity and level with Henrietta or by collecting Power upgrades from chests.

TierUpgrades
SBlast Wave, Double Tap, Flaming Balls, Last Blast
ADead Stop, Rough Ride, Long Shot, Stinky Shaft, Tesla Coil, Chain Lightning, Last Stand, Shield Charge, Square Scrounger, Multishot, It's Pee
BOpposing Aura, Bigger Bubble, Static Blast, Back Stab, Flying Daggers, Hemorrhage, Bad Blood, Vortex, Napalm, Endless Anger, I'm Rubber..., Counter Strike, Paragon, Ricochet, Gassy Glider
CBitter Bubble, Rubber Bubble, Thirsty Cleaver, Molotov Cocktail, Pocket Pirate
DLeeching Flames, Defensive Perimeter, Omni Block

S-Tier

  • Flaming Balls - Snow Turrets are already among the most useful Powers. With the Flaming Balls upgrade, the turrets fire flaming snowballs in bursts of five and at a range of 20. Boosting this Upgrade will only make the turrets that much more devastating, making it an easy top-tier choice.
  • Double Tap - This is the best choice if you're using a Bow as your ranged weapon of choice. Double Tap practically eliminates the lock-on time by giving you the option to fire an arrow instantly. The arrow leaves behind a blast damaging enemies and lets you fire the next one right away.

A-Tier

  • Multishot - The perfect Upgrade for Legolas wannabes, Multishot adds an extra arrow to your ranged Bow attack, though with reduced damage. Boosting the Upgrade increases the number of extra arrows and increases damage, making your Bow the ultimate ranged weapon.
  • Square Scrounger - Toilet Paper is a crucial currency for upgrading Upgrade cards or reshuffling the selection from Jimmy. Square Scrounger makes enemies drop 50+ percent more Toilet Paper to spend on Upgrade increases, helping you overcome missions on harder difficulties.

B-Tier

  • Paragon - Your health bar is full, but your companions are in danger. With the Paragon, you can jump into the scuffle and deal 40+ percent more damage as long as your health bar stays topped up. As soon as you take damage, you'll need to plant a Health Totem or collect some Cheesy Puffs to maximize your damage output.
  • I'm Rubber... - If you're sporting a classic Sword & Shield melee combo, you'll need to make the most out of the block option. With I'm Rubber..., you'll make any reflected projectiles explode in your enemies' faces. On the downside, you'll need to perfect your block timing, or else you'll render this Upgrade useless.

C-Tier

  • Molotov Cocktail - Every time your drain your Wand flamethrower attack, you'll drop a Molotov cocktail that detonates when hit. Sounds perfect in theory, but in practice you need to be the one detonating it, since the enemies simply walk over it. This severely limits the Upgrade's usefulness, bringing it down to C-tier.
  • Thirsty Cleaver - The Two-Handed Axe is perfect for players who prefer the heavy-hitter playstyle, but they won't be able to dodge attacks as easily. The Thirsty Cleaver Upgrade lets you restore four health points when using the Air Slam but at the cost of cutting your HP bar in half. If you're good at avoiding damage, you'll love this Upgrade—otherwise, it's best to avoid this one.

D-Tier

  • Omni Block - Blocking is an underrated feature of the Sword & Shield melee weapon. With Omni Block, you'll heal yourself while recovering Block Tokens at a slightly faster rate. The thing is, you'll never be able to stand in one place for more than a few seconds, especially during boss fights. Use your Upgrade option to pick something more useful.
  • Leeching Flames - Want to trade health? With Leeching Flames, you'll be able to fire orbs from your Staff at the cost of five HP points, but hitting the enemy will steal two of their HP points. Doesn't that sound appealing? I thought not.
