Does Splitgate have a Zombies mode?

Aim for the head.

There are many game modes in the fast-paced arena shooter Splitgate to choose from, both casual and ranked. You may be wondering if Splitgate has a zombie game mode, and the answer is yes. Splitgate's zombie mode is called Contamination, and you can find it in the casual playlist.

This game type pits a team of humans against a single zombie. The humans have carbines with unlimited ammo and a shotgun with limited ammo. Zombies wield a baseball bat that can kill with one swing. Humans turn into zombies when they are killed.

In Contamination, humans cannot use portals while zombies can. So while zombies can only score melee kills, they can teleport around the map to get the drop on the human team. They will have to work together to survive or find a really good hiding spot away from any portal walls. They do have portal grenades which can close zombie portals.

There are three rounds, and players earn points by scoring kills or being the last human standing. Winning as a human is not an easy task, so you will have to play smart and make your shots count if you plan to survive. Work together and live or become zombies one by one.
