What are standard maps in Splitgate?

Dip, duck, dodge, dive, and teleport!

Splitgate is an arena-based shooter, and what would an arena-based shooter be without arenas? Splitgate features 16 maps in total, and they are divided between Standard Maps and Simulation Maps. You may be wondering what the difference between these types of maps is.

Standard Maps make up the bulk of Splitgate's arenas. These maps feature unique locations and designs. They tend to be larger and feature both symmetrical and asymmetrical designs. Standard Maps will be what you primarily play on in most playlists and game types.

There are 10 different standard maps in Splitgate. These maps are:

  • Abyss
  • Atlantis
  • Club Silo
  • Helix
  • Highwind
  • Lavawell
  • Oasis
  • Olympus
  • Pantheon
  • Stadium

Nearly every game time in Splitgate allows you to play on Standard Maps except for Showdown and Takedown. Those game types will take place on Simulation Maps. These maps have a blend of open spaces, long sightlines, and tight corridors. This mix of areas allows for a wide variety of play styles.

Depending on what game type you are playing will change certain aspects, such as weapon spawns. With the larger maps, using portals to travel and get the drop on your enemies will play a major role in being the winning team. Because Standard Maps are so varied, each one requires different strategies and play styles to excel.
