Summoners War – Best Fusion Monsters

Light the fuse!

Once you’ve played through the early stages of turn-based strategy MMO Summoners War, you’ll have plenty of choices when putting together your team. A crucial one is choosing the best fusion monster for each occasion, so read on for which to choose and when.

What are the best Fusion Monsters in Summoners War?

It isn’t possible to say one particular Fusion Monster is ‘best’ in Summoners War, as different monsters shine in specific sections of the game. This may also depend on your play style, preference, and how you build your team, so take these as guidelines rather than golden rules. If you can take your pick and only choose one, I would select Sigmaris as a good all-rounder. However, in the end, you'll want to collect them all.

Dark Ifrit (Veromos)

Best for: Giant and Dragon teams, TOA (normal and hard)

While Veremos is a solid option for Giant and Dragon teams, as well as Trial of Ascension, you are now better off going with Sigmaris (below) in all of these battles. Veremos can also be used to good effect to counter teams using Jeanne during Sieges.

Fire Lightning Emperor (Baleygr)

Best for: Rift, Labyrinth (wind and fire bosses)

Baleygr is one of the weaker Fusion monsters with limited appeal. OK in parts of the Labyrinth and good at the end game for Rift runs.

Best for: Guild Wars (offense), Arena, Labyrinth (water boss)

One of the weaker Fusion Monsters, with limited utility. Its S3 is too random to be consistently relied upon, meaning other options are always more reliable. It does pair well with Jamire if you’re lucky enough to pull it.

Fire Panda (Xiong Fei)

Best for: Tanking in raids, Labyrinth (wind boss), Dark Rift

Except for the wind boss in the Labyrinth, and perhaps the Dark Rift, there aren’t any areas where your panda is the best option. Xiong Fei will always be a good defensive tank monster and a solid debuffer but that’s not enough to concentrate resources on it.

Light Paladin (Jeanne)

Best for: Guild Wars (defense), Siege (defense), Arena (defense), TOA (normal and hard)

Jeanne is a good crown control unit but has lost a lot of love since being nerfed. It is a popular option on defensive teams in all forms of PVP and is a solid option when battling through the Trial of Ascension.

Water Phoenix (Sigmaris)

Best for: Giant and Dragon teams, TOA (normal and hard), Labyrinth (fire boss), Fire Rift

A great DPS with strong Leadership. Its HP damage scales, making for strong hits against single tough units. Solid in Guild Wars offense and Arena if you don’t have a water-based DPS, as its Freeze ability is a potent weapon.
